We stayed at the "Grand House", one of two properties on this site. It was what was promised and more. For cleanliness it compared very well, superior, to 4 and 5 star hotels that I've stayed in. The owner had a contractor come to plow the very long drive and shovel us out twice during our 1 week stay. The contractor was polite and conscientious. We were supplied with ample firewood to enjoy a wonderful fieldstone fireplace. The home was furnished very attractively and all the needed amenities were available. We were able to follow the somewhat complicated directions and arrived in the timeframe that was projected for travel. The property owner was friendly while arrangements were made and left contact numbers should we need to reach her during our stay. We have already suggested to friends that we rent both houses on the property for a two family ski trip in the coming months. This was a very enjoyable experience!.
"Unbelievable!!! We just had the best vacation ever"

We had to vacation early this year because of my husband's new job. We worried about the weather but summer came early. The lake and the mountain views are breath-taking. This is a very special place. My family rented the Grand House which was simply beautiful. The moment we arrived, it was like we were home. The world back home melted away. There was everything! The beds were made up and the house was spotless. The kids swam and fished. One day the whole family hiked up Bald Mountain and had a picnic lunch looking out over the endless mountains surrounding us. This was the most relaxing time. It was the kind of old fashion family vacation that I remember as a child. Now my children are already asking if we can go back next summer. My husband and I took in the view everyday from the hot tub on the deck.
We would highly recommend this property to everyone who imagines a perfect, old fashion, New England summer vacation. Oh-- we saw a MOOSE!
