"Bayview" = explains itself. Gorgeous view of the Nestucca River estuary, and the ocean beyond from this property. "Garden Flat"=Our family is from the UK where homes occasionally have a 'garden flat'; a small apartment on the lowest level of a home that has access to the back yard. It's the perfect description for this sunny space.

The Bayview Garden Flat is a one bedroom apartment near Pacific City. The property is an acre of privacy, ocean views, flowers, forest and sunny south-facing outside decks. The apartment is beneath a full time residence but has it's own private entrance and outdoor spaces. The property has gorgeous views and stunning sunsets overlooking the ocean, river and Nestucca Bay. The apartment windows have private forest views, and seasonal peaks of the water through the winter alders. In summer, it's a forested haven, out of the wind and fog but just minutes to the beach. There is parking in the driveway for one car but an additional car could park on the street.

The property is about 1.5 miles to the nearest beach access and 2.5 miles to Cape Kiwanda/Pelican Pub. This would be the perfect opportunity for an avid surfer/fishing enthusiast/beach-lover to secure their spot for the summer at the coast.

Layout: enter into a storage hallway that could be used to store surfboards, bikes and other toys. There is a stackable washer/dryer and more food storage/pantry. The bedroom has a brand new king bed, a closet and a smart tv. The main room has kitchen, table area and living room. The kitchen has apartment sized fridge, cute little dishwasher, nice oven/cooktop and microwave. There is ample storage in the kitchen and it's nicely stocked for cooking. There is an eating bar with 3 stools. The small dining table with chairs is suitable for a workspace. There is a sofa and another smart TV. The kitchen leads to a private back deck space with BBQ and lovely yard and forest access. The small bathroom has some additional storage space and a shower. Linens and towels provided.

Brooten Hill is about a mile south of Pacific City. The house is at a dead end road and beyond it is a nice private hike through the fern-filled forest.

Policy: due to licensing requirements, only longer stays are allowed. $400 damage deposit. 3 guests allowed, but the house is more suitable for 1-2. Perhaps 2 adults and one kid. Pets negotiable depending on situation. The house is serviced by a private well and septic system. Full-time adult locals live upstairs and although this apartment is very private, there is occasional sound from above.
