Take advantage of the sunny days in the summer to go on a long hike (about 20 minutes from the trailhead to Ousel Falls Trail). This trail is suitable for all ages. You will be rewarded with a stunning waterfall at the end of the trail. Take the slippery steps down to the base of this waterfall and enjoy the fresh mountain water spray. Jake's Horses is a great place to experience Montana from the saddle. The Riverhouse BBQ is the perfect place to end your day with fried chicken, a Montana Mule and their famous fried hen!

Take the 13-minute drive to Big Sky Resort in the winter and experience "the biggest skiing in America." You can take a break from downhill skis by taking a cross-country ski trail or a snowshoe hike through the pines. You can enjoy open skating on an ice rink just steps from your townhome. Nearby outdoor shops rent skates. If you don't want to drive during the winter months, you can walk to the Skyline bus stop for free public transportation in Big Sky.

Montana A/C is a good way to cool down the house during summer. It involves opening windows at night, and closing them during the day. Closing the windows during the day will keep cool air in the house. We ask that you close them if you're not at home.

Transportation to Big Sky From Bozeman Airport:It is important to have a vehicle available during your stay in order to enjoy all that Big Sky offers. You can travel easily from the Gallatin river to Lone Peak. In other communities, taxis and ride-sharing services are plentiful. However, Big Sky is a small community with limited transportation options. We offer a 5% off code to Explore Rentals. They are located just minutes from the Bozeman airport and offer 4-wheel drive vehicles equipped with snow tires during the winter and all season tires during the summer.
