Property Information |
|
Our vacation property is located on a secluded, two-acre lot overlooking Cape Cod National Seashore. The 2BR main house, which has been featured in a national magazine and two books, enjoys views of sunsets, Cape Cod Bay and Provincetown from its rooftop deck.
The informal 1BR guest house, which lies down a short path from the house, is available together with the main house or separately. This house provides a private place for a nanny or older children; or it allows you to more economically share a vacation with other family members or friends without being on top of each other.
The Laurel is in one of the most attractive areas in Truro (The Pamet), convenient to Truro center (1 mile), Cape Cod Bay (1.5 miles) and the Atlantic Ocean (2.5 miles). Neighboring Provincetown and Wellfleet are packed with shops, galleries, museums, and restaurants. There are water sports, whale-watching opportunities, great biking and hiking trails, and the most beautiful beaches on the East Coast.
To capture the best views, the main living area, which includes the living/dining great room, kitchen, master bedroom and bath, laundry and screened porch, is on the upper level. Exterior stairs lead to a "widow's walk" rooftop lookout. The west-facing porch/deck, with 18-ft.-ceilings, enjoys a nice valley view.
On the lower level, there's a private suite with a spacious, sunny bedroom that has a queen and optional twin cot, and a beautifully tiled bath.

It's honestly a shame that everyone doesn't have at least one chance, to experience the magic of The Laurel. I could write a book on what my one experience, gave to me.
Maybe that's something for you to consider in the future.Just one other thing. Please don't ever sell her!
Margaret
I just wanted to send a note stating how pleased I was with my stay at The Laurel. It is absolutely beautiful and I will recommend it to anyone. I found the area lovely and the locals fun spirited and very friendly. Thank you for sharing your wonderful property!
Mona
"I was fortunate enough to stay at the Laurel during the winter 2006. It is a wonderful house with all the modern amenities (whirlpool tub, satellite television, rooms wired with stereo speakers, etc.). The house looks out on the marvelous Truro landscape and creature comforts that can be found in Wellfleet, Orleans, or Provincetown are never very far away. The owner was extremely easy to work with on securing the property, too. All in all, a wonderful experience had by all. I would highly recommend a break from the ordinary and stay at the Laurel."
