This gem of a cottage is nestled along the eastern shores of Seneca Lake and is surrounded by lush trees, creating a private little getaway for your next vacation.
A lakefront porch built over the water leads you to the front door of the cottage. The open floor plan is decorated in a crisp red, white and blue theme, and the uncluttered design reminds you that you’re here to unwind, have fun, and relax. The open living area features two comfortable queen size futons, a fireplace, television, and plenty of large windows to let the sights and sounds of the lake in. The dining area offers seating for six, and is located next to the galley style kitchen. The large windows over the sink ensure that you won’t mind doing the dishes! Located off the kitchen is a full bathroom with shower stall. Tucked away in the rear of the home, off the dining area, is a bedroom with single bunk bed. The kids can sleep soundly while the adults are out in the living room relaxing in front of a crackling fire with a glass of wine.
Bright vacation days can be enjoyed outside, where the lakefront features plenty of natural lake access, a small sunny deck, dock with swim ladder, and picnic table with umbrella.
Guests looking to explore the area will find much to do without having to drive far at all.
The fabulous Seneca Lake wine trail begins just over one mile away at Atwater Estate Vineyards. Continue traveling north along Seneca Lake, and you will have plenty of wineries to stop at, as well as gift shops, art galleries, antique stores, produce stands, and more! As you pass the old Seneca Army Depot, keep watch for the amazing white deer, and be sure to have your camera ready! The city of Geneva is located at the northern end of the lake, and you will want to stretch your legs at the beautiful waterfront park. Be sure to stop at the ice cream stand, so you can enjoy a cone as you’re walking! As you travel along the western shores of Seneca Lake, heading towards Watkins Glen, you will pass through more beautiful countryside. Mennonite buggies are always a pleasure to see! Watkins Glen is just over five miles away from the cottage, and here you will find something for everyone to enjoy! Need even more exploring to do on a cool or rainy day? Consider a trip to Ithaca, which is only a 25 miles drive away.
Smooth Sailing is a great place to get away from it all, but it is conveniently located near plenty of shopping and dining facilities, as well as endless attractions. This isn’t just a fantastic place to come for your summer vacation, as autumn is beautiful in the Finger Lakes---and you’ll want an excuse to cuddle up in front of the fireplace on a crisp autumn evening.
