I stayed at a fantastic apartment on Perry Street in the Village. For all of you "Sex in the City" fans, my brownstone was right next to the brownstone where they film the exterior shots of Carrie Bradshaw's (Sarah Jessica Parker's character) apartment building ... The place was amazing ... Everything about the apartment was fine and warm ... you are basically renting (by the night) a fabulous apartment in one of the most amazing neighborhoods in the City. The manager, Iwan, is great-extremely helpful and VERY patient, but he definitely needs an assistant! He does way too much in one day. The owner is Marcial-he is fantastic! Really nice guy-very personable ... They are doing a pretty fantastic job! The BIG plus here for you cost conscious travellers is this: you get an entire apartment in a fantastic neighborhood for the same price of a small, three-star hotel room. |
