Property Description

This quaint cottage offers the ideal getaway for escaping the day to day hustle and bustle of life. It is cozy and warm and tucked away in a quiet neighborhood conveniently located to several attractions.

We look forward to hosting you! Please don't hesitate to send us a message before your stay!• Normal check-in time is 4pm on the arrival date. For check-in's from 12:30pm - 4:00pm, it's an extra $50 to have an extra cleaner assist with servicing the property. Check-in's before 12:30pm would require booking the previous night at a much discounted rate. Contact host for details.

Cleaning
While sanitizing the homes, cleaners are:
-Wearing disposable gloves to clean and disinfect.
-Using disinfectant on surfaces before wiping clean.
-Engaging in heightened cleaning of frequently touched surfaces such as tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, faucets, remotes, etc.
-Using a different set of gloves to remove dirty linens and trash, and a new set of gloves for clean linens.
-Removing all garbage from the premises first in order to avoid contamination

Disinfecting
While disinfecting the homes, cleaners are:
-Using bleach and/or alcohol solutions per CDC Guidelines
-Allowing the surfaces to air dry so that the disinfectant kills as many pathogens as possible

Laundering
While laundering, the cleaners are:
-Disinfecting couches and soft surfaces (carpets/rugs/drapes) with an EPA-registered household disinfectant that meets CDC Guidelines.
-Wearing disposable gloves when handling dirty laundry and keeping dirty linens/towels separated from clean
-Laundering when possible at the highest temperature for linens.

*Additional Notes*
-All of our linens and towels are laundered off site at a laundry facility using the warmest water setting allowed by manufacturer’s instructions. Only dye free and hypoallergenic laundry products are used (Wool Dryer Balls / ALL Free & Clear Detergent).
-Our cleaning team has been updated on CDC Guidelines for hand washing, face covering, and social distancing to reduce the potential for incidental transmission of germs both at home and at work.
-Our cleaning team follows a checklist for each room to ensure thorough cleaning and sanitation.

Twin beds can be moved together to form a King Size bed and accommodate a second couple!

Please note the home is a "shotgun" which means there is no hallway and you must pass through each room to get to the next. From front to back, you'll enter through the living room, walk through each bedroom, the dining room, and through a hallway with the bathroom in it and finally into the kitchen before stepping outside into your private backyard.

The home is a duplex where the owners occupy the other side of the building. The two sides are completely separate and private.

Street parking is not guaranteed and if you choose to utilize street parking please be sure to follow city and state laws.

Access

Guests will have exclusive and uninterrupted access to the entirety of the space during their stay. This includes 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, kitchen, dining room, living room, front porches, and backyard. Twin beds can be moved together to form a King Size bed and accommodate a second couple!

Transit

By Streetcar!
We are only three blocks from the Carrollton/Canal streetcar which takes you directly to the French Quarter & Downtown!

By Car!
We are 2.7 miles to the French Quarter or just a 10 minute drive!
Uber/Lyft are just $7-10.

By Bike!
We are one block to the Lafitte Greenway (bike path - info below!) and 3 blocks to a Blue Bike Rental Station! The French Quarter is just a 15-20 minute ride away!

The Lafitte Greenway is a trail for pedestrians and bicycles located in New Orleans, Louisiana, extending from Louis Armstrong Park to Bayou St. John and beyond. Opened in 2015, it is the latest reconfiguration of a historic transportation corridor that has been in use for over two centuries.

Street parking is not guaranteed and if you choose to utilize street parking please be sure to follow city and state laws.

While we likely won't see you in person during your stay we are available as needed to assist with any questions you may have and have even curated a custom guidebook with all of the best eateries, bars/nightlife, and things to do in the city. With decades of combined hospitality experience in major hotel chains, we'll always do our best to ensure you have a great stay!

Neighbourhood

Most of the City Park neighborhood is the actual park, which is huge. But there is a selection of residences south of the park, along Bayou St. John and off of City Park Avenue.

The predominant architecture that you’ll find around City Park is raised basement, raised cottages and Arts & Crafts cottages.

Also in the neighborhood, you’ll find plenty of places to play or eat out. It’s an amazing community for outdoor lovers, with paddle boards, pedal boats and kayaks all available to rent right in the park. Take a jog or bike ride along one of the many paths that wind through the 1,300 acres of City Park. Visit the New Orleans Museum of Art. Take the dog over to City Bark. Or get in a game of miniature gold at City Putt. Top it off with an order of beignets and a cup of cafe au lait at Cafe du Monde!
