Property Description

If you’re an adventurer at heart, you need to spend some time at this lakefront adventure log cabin. This is called our “adventure cabin,” because it’s located within a wildlife refuge, and due to the no-wake zone in the lake, you’ll want to spend all your time on paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, or any other water toy! (Yes, you can use a power boat, but will need to go slow.). Hot-tub, fire-pit, fenced in yard, for dogs, 3 fireplaces, wifi ( good high speed at this location ) and tons more !

This property boasts mountain and lake views from nearly every room, and has been a green home for over 20 years. This is the only solar-powered home on the entire lake! Now that’s a Smith Mountain Lake cabin rental you can feel good about renting.

There is over 280 feet of lakefront on Smith Mountain Lake, and you will have full use of the deep water dock to tie up your boat. Take a running leap and jump off the party deck into the water! Or use either the man-made or natural steps to wade into the lake gently, with your dog..

You will have access to two canoes, two kayaks, and 3 paddleboards on-site, allowing you many options for paddling out into the water, even if you leave your gear at home. Plus the abundance of lounge chairs and seating on every deck will allow for relaxation and taking in the sunsets anywhere you choose.

Multiple dogs are allowed (each with a fee), so you can include even the canine members of your family on this vacation, with the largest fenced in yard on the lake! We have one dog bed available; please let us know if you’ll need more. Due to the deer, bear, and other species in this refuge, it’s best to keep them on a leash when they’re not in the fenced-in yard, but they will love going on long walks around the lake, or going swimming themselves!

Even though this is our adventure home, there are plenty of amenities to make you feel comfortable throughout your whole stay. You can play some competitive games of pool or ping-pong with the members of your group or stay connected with unlimited Wi-Fi on the property.

At the end of the day, you’ll have a hot tub in your Smith Mountain Lake cabin rental to soak your sore muscles and relax. You can also gather around the firepit to swap stories under a moonlit sky. There are three fireplaces inside as well, for a warm refuge indoors no matter the time of year.

This home looks like a log cabin, but feels luxurious! You will want for nothing, able to cook indoors in the open and fully-equipped kitchen or while taking in nature outdoors. Feel safe knowing that the property is fenced in, so the kids and dogs can run around to their hearts content. No matter where you are in the home, you’ll see how well it’s been renovated, from wood floors and tiled baths to stone kitchen counter-tops and custom cabinetry.

There are paved roads in this small, wildlife refuge community, which offer exciting hiking trails, and spectacular views everywhere you look. You will remember this trip forever, whether it’s a family vacation, or your next corporate retreat.

Reach out to our friendly agents today to book your ultimate, adventurous getaway!  Cleaning fee includes sheets and towels on the bed ! Dogs, welcome each dog is  a fee, more than 4 , we need to contact the county, so please let us know if more than 4 dogs. Outside the fence dogs must be on a leash, by POA rules and laws.

Log Cabin Retreat
by hayley on 08/14/2020
This home is cozy and perfect for a relaxing lake getaway! We appreciated all the amenities that makes it feel like home. We honestly did not have enough time to fully appreciate all that this house offers (pool table, ping pong, horse shoes, corn hole etc.), but we thoroughly enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle boards which allowed us to explore the lake and the hot tub for unwinding at the end of the day. The screened porch is a fantastic place for listening to nature, watching the humming birds and enjoying each others company. We LOVE this home and only wish it was closer to our own so that we could visit more often!!

Wonderful Vacation!
by Casey on 07/31/2020
What a wonderful week at the lake! The house was perfect and had everything we needed for a fun-filled family vacation. Our dog enjoyed the fenced-in yard, and we enjoyed the water sports, beautiful views, and roasting marshmallows down at the fire pit. We took advantage of the hot tub on a few nights and played lots of pool and ping pong. The house is so peaceful and serene...we had fun watching all of the wildlife and even saw a bald eagle in the trees across from the dock. We can’t wait to come back!

Fabolous- private, convenitent, Restful !
by Laren on 07/13/2020
Very private, restful from our busy jobs ! This is the best one on the lake - however a lot of people need a lot of action - we desired the bird calls every day , the peace of the water - the quiet of the cove- - and yes by the way 5 minutes later- be out there with all the nose- however - at night and during our early evening and evening hours - it was so peaceful, incredible much needed family time and much needed quiet with alot of space and yes wifi if you really want to go back to it !

Best rental ever
by Anna on 06/27/2020
We absolutely LOVED our stay here. The house is a home. Cozy with everything you need. Impeccably clean. The location is perfect. Quiet and relaxing. Loved all the kayaks, canoe, pool table, etc. We will definitely be back.

Most relaxing stay
by Jessica on 11/30/2019
From the reservations down to the smallest detail in the home everything was well thought out and organized. We really enjoyed our stay and the reservation service through premier vacation rentals was effortless. The customer service excellent and very responsive. Our getaway vacation was very relaxing and effortless. The home was beautiful and fully stocked with the necessities, I was pleasantly surprised there was a very helpful tablet with a home manual, activities, and a map of the area. We are looking forward to using premier vacations again!

Phenomenal Vacation for Kids and Pups
by MARK on 11/12/2019
My kids thought this would be the "worst" vacation in their lives; and now they just keep asking when we can return. The home is perfect for relaxing or outdoor activities, close to shopping, and dining. The home is tastefully decorated, and uber functional with about anything one could need to cook or hang out with the family. My pups had a blast running around the fenced in yard, and by the end of the day, couldn't move. The teen and tween enjoyed playing pool, fishing, cooking out, smores and looking at the stars each night. Premier Vacation Rentals simplified the entire experience with informative emails, and a tablet inside the home with relevant event and dining data. This was truly a perfect experience from check-in to checkout. Wow!!! We'll be back soon....

Awesome stay! Hope to return!
by Allison on 11/04/2019
We soooo enjoyed our stay in this cabin. The photos really don't do it justice (like. really. at all. and they're good photos!). This place was so good that I almost want to a leave a dishonest review so I can keep this fabulous spot a secret for my family ;-) The views are incredible and being on a no wake cove is a special treat for any water playing you want to do. Our two dogs LOVED the HUGE fenced in backyard; they had a great time exploring and rolling down the hill. The backyard has a pretty steep slope that is a good quad workout, but certainly not for the weak walkers of the world. (I'm in pretty healthy shape, but walking up it put us all out of breath.) The fire pit was a great treat, and we loved having firewood provided, unlike other rentals we've used in the past. There was even a wheelbarrow to get the wood down the hill to the fire pit! The house itself is very pretty, clean, and charming. It's full of unique pieces and feels cozy, like a home away from home. The kitchen is STOCKED, really fantastic if you like to cook. Nice pots and pans, fantastic gas stove, plenty of prep space. The grill is very nice and the directions for working it are easy to follow. If you're a fancy chef, I'd recommend bringing your favorite chef's knife, as the ones in this house aren't the sharpest, but otherwise, you really don't need any special supplies (and we almost always travel with extra kitchen stuff--didn't need any of it but the knife!). There are even skewers for marshmallows on the fire and plenty of tongs for the grill (unusual in rentals!). There are plenty of games, books, and other forms of entertainment. We didn't use the TVs, but the wifi worked well for cell phone browsing / searching / maps. The beds were soft and the sheets were very nice. We loved the pool table and converted it to a ping pong table, as well. Plenty of seating and spots to hang out, enjoy the view and the weather, plus lots of awesome water toys! We had intended to use the hot tub and did not wind up using it, but it looked really nice and well cared for. Honestly, I wish we'd rented several more days so we could indulge in all the treats this cabin had to offer us. My only criticism of this property is that, specifically at this price point, the showers really need some work. The upstairs shower wasn't usable by anyone in our group, the shortest person being 5'6ish. The shower head is at a very awkward height / placement that none of us understood, but nonetheless, it wasn't usable for any of our heights, and probably would only be good for short folks or young kiddos. The downstairs shower was more height appropriate (I'm 5'10") and the water pressure was awesome. The shower was a single stall that was quite narrow, so it was hard to shave my legs and just not as indulgent as I would prefer for a vacation at this price point. My husband and I often take showers together and that was not an option in this house. We didn't love that four adults had to share a single shower. All that said, there was plenty of hot water and we were successful in getting clean. Regardless, while annoying, we'd still rent this property again and know to plan our vacation around this single, simple shower stall. All in all, this property offered a fabulous long weekend on SML and we really hope to be back! Thank you for being so dog friendly and allowing our pups an awesome adventure. Thanks for the excellent trip and for sharing your home with travelers!

Awesome place , clean , view of lake and mountains is amazing and beautiful , highly recommend!

by Sharon on 09/16/2019
We always enjoy our stay at the cabin. We have been staying here since 2015. The cabin has everything you need and more.

by Jill on 09/06/2019
Location, access to lake, household amenities (fully stocked kitchen, rustic ambience of house, quality of furnishings, screened in porch, variety of outdoor seating, etc), pet friendly with fully fenced in yard, variety of recreational amenties, (pool table, hot tub, fire pits, canoes, kayaks, paddle boards).

Log cabin retreat: perfect place to relax on the lake
by hayley on 08/15/2019
We have stayed at very nice homes here, lake Anna and Deep Creek Lake, but we have never enjoyed our week more than we did at this home. It is truly the most comfortable, warm and inviting home for both people and their dogs. The kayaks and paddle boards that are provided offer opportunities to explore the lake in a fun way. For the brave, jumping off the party deck is exciting and something not available at most homes. But for those who just want to chill, the quiet preserve is wonderful for swimming, bird watching, walking, sitting in the jacuzzi or by the fire pit watching the moon glow on the water at night. We loved everything about this adorable home and hope to be back again!

Log Cabin Retreat
by Lisa on 07/28/2019
Beautiful location in a very private cove. Kitchen furnished with almost everything. Would bring spatulas, tongs and large frying pan next time. House needs some work but overall a very comfortable stay. Would advise pet owners to clean up after your pets. House provides all bed linens and bath towels. There are also beach towels available for use. Weber Gas grill was awesome. Kids loved the basement area with pool table and dart board. Kayaks and paddle boards were a bonus as well as the wine refrigerator.

Little slice of Heaven for humans and dogs!!
by Vicki on 06/23/2019
What an amazing place to stay. We had four adults and two college girls and this home was perfect. Our two dogs were treated like kings here too from a dog bed, fenced yard and everything in the home is dog friendly. The kitchen has anything even a professional needs. The screen porch was wonderful and we never ate inside but ate, played games and grilled on the porch. The grill was spotless and loved having all the grill tools needed. We rented a boat from the suggested renter and it was perfect as well. The cove is so quiet. The only hiccup was a neighbor who apparently dislikes renters calling the cops thinking we were over capacity due to all the cars but the rental agency handled and let us know of issues on the lake which are out of their control and were so responsive. If you have people coming for the day, just let them know before hand which we did when extended family came for one afternoon and no issues. This home has everything you could want. The fenced yard was a bonus along with the kayaks and paddle boards. There was a loaf of bread from a young teen who sells and delivers baked goods and it was so yummy, we ordered some cookies, cupcakes and cinnamon bread and she delivered it the next day. This place has everything and we didn’t leave once we arrived and hated to leave on the last day. We are already planning on returning next summer. We have rented homes all over the world and this was one of our favorites.

Most relaxing vacation ever
by Natalie on 06/13/2019
The cabin was very nice with plenty to do. We loved taking our dogs and all the amenities available. My only issues was that the mowers showed up while we were there and a warning that they were coming would have been nice. Thankfully we were inside when they came so we didn't have any issues. The floors were very squeaky and there were many things that need a handyman's attention but overall we had a very good time. It just seems like for the price charged it wouldn't be an issue to have some of the things fixed. Also the shower on the main floor is for very short people. I am 5'4 and had to squat a bit to wash my hair! Loved the canoes and paddleboards available as well as the pool table and hot tub and it was nice how well stocked the kitchen was so we didn't have to worry about bringing any cookware. It was so quiet there it amazed me! We had a very relaxing weekend!

Beautiful cabin, great location and view.
by Jean on 11/08/2017
We totally enjoyed our stay. The cabin had all the amenities you could need. The weather was perfect. Some of us even got out on the water for a kayak ride. Our dogs loved the large fenced in yard. It made our trip seeing them enjoy running around and playing together. It was so peaceful, we enjoyed sitting out at night and star gazing. Couldn't have asked for a better week away from all the madness. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing home with us. Jean, Jim, Woodrow and Brandy

Fabulous ! Incredible Views, tons of extras
by Anonymous on 11/01/2017
Best spot on the lake , great home , we just loved it ... especially the pups we have stayed at the lake many times and this is the best spot around.. thank you for taking our dogs as well ! loved the large fire-pit, and the blankets that we could wrap up in ... also loved the dog bed and the wine as well as the beach towels... this home goes way beyond the basic, with all the touches ... we are looking at the calendars now to come back.

This home has everything!!!
by Kathy on 08/10/2017
Our recent stay at this home was one of the best experiences we've ever had renting. This home has everything you can ever imagine to keep you busy as well as a stocked kitchen. I mean stocked! If you still cook on vacation this place is great. The appliances are all up to date, the house was clean, and there was a kayak and a few paddle boards that my daughters loved. The fire pit was fun and there are so many decks, chairs and loungers to choose from. I can't say enough great things about this rental. Maybe top on my list was knowing my two dogs could run free in the fenced yard and I didn't worry about them running off! This means the world! I highly recommend this home!

A sliver of heaven amidst the summer swelter
by Scott on 07/23/2017
Yet again, this place did not disappoint. Really enjoyed getting to experience a warm summer stay (...and the benefits the lake offers for that weather reality!). Can't wait to book the next trip - hopefully this fall. Thanks again...next time we'll coordinate for a longer stay to immerse ourselves more fully into the SML state of mind.

Quiet well maintained vacation home
by Courtney on 07/19/2017
Second stay here. Property is very well maintained. Pretty location on secluded cove. Nice fenced in yard for the dogs. Very nice touches that clearly indicate this is also someone's home. Loved hearing the whippoorwills at night.

Wonderful respite from a chaotic world!
by Scott on 11/16/2016
Three couples and pooches hung here for a crisp November weekend. Air was crisp, nights were spectacular and bonds of friendship bolstered over fire, conservation, cooking and commiserating. Lovely place. We hope to return and repeat...

2nd visit just as excellent as the first!
by Billy on 11/06/2016
We love this place and hope to make it an annual trip. We used to go to the Outer Banks but find this to be more relaxing and just as convenient from Richmond. It is perfect for our K9 heavy family. New fire pit was perfect for a S'mores night. The Kitchen is great for anyone looking to cook a gourmet meal for the family. Well stocked with everything you should need. We have yet to try the Hot tub. Maybe next time. Thanks again for having us and the 'Kids'

Peace and Relaxation
by Sharon on 10/11/2016
This is our 4th stay at Log Cabin Retreat. If you are looking for peace and relaxation than look no further. The view is breath taking and the dogs love the big fenced in yard. The home is equipped with everything you could possibly need. We will be back next Fall.

by Merry on 10/03/2016
We just returned from spending 10 glorious days at SML with our dear friends and our 2 daschunds. We were looking for a quiet place to meet our dear friends and just spend a fun time together. Leslie was always very prompt and helpful with responses to all of our questions! If you are looking for a beautiful and quiet spot the little red cottage is perfect! It has a wonderful rustic feel while having all the comforts of home. There are so many lovely unique items in this home. It is obviously loved by the owners. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and the beds are extremely comfortable. There are many different outside seating areas to take advantage of the many wonderful views in any type of weather. It was a perfect size for the 4 of us and great memories were made! There are too many wonderful things about this place to name them all. The owners are also animal lovers and the property is perfect for any size dog. Our 2 small daschunds had the time of their lives in the huge fenced yard. It was our first vacation with our fur babies and the first time we were totally relaxed and not anxious to rush home. The owners really have thought of everything, including the name of their local vet which was very much appreciated when one of our dogs became very sick and had to spend 2 days there (she is older and has some health issues from awful abuse in her early years). The doctors and staff were incredible and saved her life. Not only did WE have a wonderful stay, but we will always treasure watching how much fun our dogs had as well! Thank you for everything, Leslie, most of all for sharing your beautiful property!

Beautiful peaceful SML cabin
by Susie on 08/13/2016
A easy peaceful family vacation. The cabin has everything you need. The owner thought of everything to make your stay feel like home. We cooked amazing meals every night and loved eating in the screened in porch. The cabin has plenty of indoor and outdoor living space for 6 people. Loved, loved, loved this cabin and week vacation. Wish it was longer!

Charming and well maintained home
by Sharon on 07/21/2016
The home is beautiful and has all the comforts you need. The hot tub was great, all the decks had nice views and the beds were very comfortable. The cove is quiet and offered a great place for fishing and swimming. Our teens really liked jumping from the top deck to the water, playing pool and making smores at the fire pit. Everyone had a wonderful time, especially our dogs! It was nice to have the large fenced yard so they could explore safely. It was a fun and relaxing vacation.

Peaceful cabin retreat

We throughly enjoyed our breif vacation timec spent at this beautiful lakefront cabin. The interior of the home was very welcoming and cozy. The outdoor living space with all the decks was amazing. My husband and I look forward to returning to enjoy an extended stay with our two traveling canines. They loved the fenced in area where they played frisbee and played fetch with tennis balls. Thank you so much for sharing your home!

Amazing Christmas
by Heather on 01/02/2016
We had an amazing Christmas, first for our daughter, and got to spend it with family. The cabin was amazing. We had brilliant weather and got to canoe and jump off the dock--freezing water, but was great to jump into the hot tub after! Playing pool was relaxing, sitting in front of the fires was great, and having a nice fire outside with wine and venison stew was simply fantastic. We would definitely come again! So peaceful and quiet.

Peaceful Retreat on the Lake
by John on 11/03/2015
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the lake. Our primary objective was to get away for a four day weekend and get to know the area as a potential retirement option. The property was perfect for the two of us and our dogs. Very well maintained by the owner; with all of the required amenities one could hope for on a getaway weekend. As much as possible, we spent time exploring the local sites. There is so much to do even in the fall of the year. We visited local wineries, an apple orchard, SML state park, took a tour of the dam and drove much of the area looking at available properties. There is so much more to do and see than we could cover in a single visit. We will definitely return and hope this property is available to us.

Shu and Crew
by Sharon on 10/11/2015
This is our second stay at the cabin and we have already booked it for next year. The views in the cove are absolutely beautiful. The peace and quiet is just what we all needed. Leslie has thought of everything and you will want for nothing while staying at this cabin. Our Labardoodles loved the big fenced year and going for a daily swim.

Amazing secluded cabin
by Scott on 10/04/2015
This was our first trip to SML, but certainly will not be our last! The cabin was peaceful, tucked away with beautiful views of the cove. The deck offered the perfect place to hunker down with a book and a glass of wine where I could watch my husband fishing off the docks. We enjoyed some boating on the lake and ventured out to several area restaurants. The cabin had great amenities- including the pool table which we took advantage of during the rain. The rooms were comfortable and cozy and the kitchen was well stocked making staying in for meals easy. We truly enjoyed our stay!

My Dream Vacation!
by Anonymous on 09/29/2015
My Dream Vacation! We so love your log cabin/red house and all of the thoughtfulness of the endearing decor. It is the most peaceful place I have ever been and I just love being in the middle of a wildlife refuge surrounded by the woods, mountains and lake....my little piece of Heaven! Our Beagle pups, Jax and Bella, became Boat Beagles on this trip! This is amazing because they get car sick but oh how they love the pontoon boat we rented from Pete! Another new adventure for them was playing on your grassy hill! We have a very flat lot and they absolutely LOVE to run and slide down your hill! We loved the docks, fishing and canoeing...Especially my husband! We loved boating all day and made our way through most of the big water on SML. I have family and friends in Lynchburg and Evington so it was great that they were so close and able to come down for a day and enjoy some vacation time with us as well! None of us wanted to go home! And we long for next year when we get to visit again! Thanks so much for opening up your beautiful, little piece of Heaven to us :)

Loved Log Cabin Retreat
by Laurie on 09/04/2015
This was our first SML experience and our family of four was spoiled! Wooded, secluded location but with friends renting right next door. We loved swimming in the cove for hours, exploring by canoe, daring each other to jump off the high dock (and jumping!), drinking the surprisingly good local wine left for us, cooking in the well-stocked kitchen (no need for the sharp knife brought from home), and of course having our most favorite dog along to enjoy it with us. A couple of friends came and went so all beds and pillows were used and confirmed comfy. It was a nice touch to include hair dryers in both bathrooms and to provide the dish and laundry soaps, also some of the basic kitchen condiments. We didn't go out much but did rent from Mitchell's Marina which was a short drive and indulged in the fried chicken carry-out from the White House Corner deli. The wifi was sadly used a bit too much for work but it did mean we could stay for two weeks. Owner was easy to work with. We highly recommend this house and hope to be back.

The Red House
by Suzie on 07/13/2015
The Red House is a great vacation for families who love to vacation with their dogs! The yard is quite large and completely fenced. It was a joy to watch them run and play with such abandon. The house is great - kitchen is FULLY furnished. No need to bring your favorite coffee maker, knife, or pan in this place. Bedrooms spacious, beds comfortable. Pool table was great fun for the older kids and grown-ups. Plenty of games and puzzles for rainy days. The decks attached to this house are great. The upper deck is great for coffee in the morning as the sun comes up. The lower deck holds the jacuzzi. Need I say more? The deck on the bluff is the perfect place for evening cocktails. The party deck over the dock is great for sunning, socializing, reading, and jumping into the deep cove! The decks are all in very good shape. Floating docs (2) perfect for tying up your boat, kayak, canoe, Seadoo, etc. The deep cove is wide enough to enjoy and in a "No wake" zone which makes paddle boarding, kayaking, and swimming easier. The house is located in a Reserve so there are plenty of opportunities to see deer and other wildlife. Even though our stay was during the summer, I can imagine how cozy this house is during the winter. The stone fireplaces are beautiful. The Red House is warm and inviting, decorated like a log cabin - they even have a stuffed bear! The amenities are wonderful. Only caution is you might not want to leave! Suggestion - owners need a new guest book - all the pages are full!

Enchanting Cabin Retreat

We look forward to many more wonderful visits in the future

Vacation with the in-laws.
by Wanda on 06/10/2015
Four adults and one happy dog were seriously impressed with the atmosphere and amenities of this home. How wonderful it is to have tones of space for the food. Large shelving area and big refrigerator. The stove and cook top allowed for some terrific meals to be made. Ample pots, pans, plates, silverwear, glasses and utensils too. Bedrooms have lots of storage and the beds felt very comfortable. The enclosed porch with BBQ provided an outdoor entertaining space while it was raining. We loved the opportunity to use the canoes on the river. Peaceful and very scenic. Our dog's first paddle experience was a success, though jumping off the deck to get a stick was more fun for her. From this location we visited a winery, an Alpaca farm, went to the movies and had ice cream at the National Park. Morning walks up the main road through the forest were a daily routine. Our dog loved bounding after squirrels and bunnies. Though tick checks were a must as a few did want to hold on. A pool game, hot tub night and viewing of some basketball games completed the activities. Though it was raining and thundering often, we found ourselves still having plenty of enjoyment. And some great memories were made too. Lots of stunning pictures for our photo book. Thank you!

Our Anniversary Trip
by Yates said on 05/10/2015
My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary here in May 2014 and again for our second anniversary in 2015. This lake house is absolutely perfect and it sits on an amazing piece of property with the most amazing views. It is located in a wildlife refuge in a very peaceful cove. The house itself has that log cabin feel with all your modern day amenities. The kitchen is very well equipped along with a large weber grill on the screened in porch. Plenty of outdoor decks and space both in the sun and shade. The dock is two levels and there are plenty of fish in this cove. Easy access in and out of the water for swimming. Our dog really enjoys the fenced in yard and hanging out on the dock. You can tell the owners take a lot of pride in their home - it is immaculate and well kept. This place is not "bare bones" by any means. It is very well furnished with a lot of really cool decor to make it feel extra cozy. This lake house is truly a retreat and we can't wait to come back next year and create even more memories!

Fabulous Weekend Get-Away!

Your home by the lake is fabulous! My friends and I have a wonderful time. Everything was perfect. From the view of the lake from the windows/deck/screened porch; to the clean and warm atmosphere. We were so pleased upon our arrival. The pictures of your home on the website are only a small mark to what your home offers for a wonderful vacation. We cannot wait to rent from you again! Thank you so much for the attention to detail. 1) The extremely appointed kitchen- everything one needs to prepare meals. 2) The awesome king mattress and pillows. Thank you for knowing this makes for a restful time away from home. 3) The fenced in yard for the pets to run and play. 4) The ramp/no steps to manage upon arriving- to bring the luggage in.

Best on the Lake

After vacationing at Smith Mountain Lake for over 10 years- this home is the one.. We will never go to another home. Clean, incredible views, quiet and peaceful No surprises at all, - except it is better than pictured. Very convenient to the restaurants and marinas . This owner has a boat service that offers a private drop off and pick up- so we did not have to drive to a marina and rent.. But with the canoes and more you barely need anything else. Tons of board games also- for when we were rained in a few days. Also our dogs loved the fenced in yard and the numerous decks we enjoyed throughout.... Thank you for taking over 2 dogs..not many people do..we are booking for next year with more time though.. See you in 2015
