Property Activities
The famous 28-lake Eagle River Chain is the largest interconnected chain of lakes anywhere in the world. Whether you feel like trying your luck on snow skis, fishing a secluded bay, or simply relaxing on your deck, Island View Lodge is for you. Here you can enjoy all types of boating and water sports, such as tubing, kayaking, or water skiing. Historic Eagle River also offers numerous opportunities for boat or jet ski rentals, and Catfish Lake has two public boat launches.
If you are not looking to be active on the water by sailing or taking a pontoon boat ride, you can relax with a rod and reel. Catfish Lake and its connecting lakes, (Class A Muskie rated), are ideal for fishing. Quiet bays, fallen trees, and a sunken island are home to a variety of fish including: perch, crappie, walleye, northern pike, smallmouth and largemouth bass, and muskie. Feeling lucky? Eagle River is home to some of the richest and most coveted fishing tournaments in the Midwest. Don't feel like being on the water? Island View Lodge is located only two miles from town, ideal for catching a late movie or doing some rainy day shopping. Your vacation home is located a few miles from Nicolet National Forest. This preserved forest offers over 657,000 acres of virtually untouched wilderness. Boasting crystal clear lakes, 1,100 miles of trout streams, and miles of hiking trails, the Nicolet Forest makes your choices of activities as vast as the land itself. You are also about forty minutes from Upper Michigan's appropriately named "Big Snow Country." With lake-effect snow dumping on four ski resorts, a short drive can fulfill all your downhill skiing and snowboarding needs. Additionally, Eagle River is known as the Snowmobile Capitol of the World. Each year snow enthusiasts meet here to take advantage of the hundreds of miles of groomed snowmobile and cross-country skiing trails; as well as the World Championship Snowmobile Derby, ice castle sculpture, and excellent ice fishing that graces northern Wisconsin. With the winter season bringing world-class trail riding right to your front door proves that in every season there is always a reason to visit the Island View Lodge. Your home was very beautiful! We were very impressed by the house and the property when we got here. We had great campfires at night under the gorgeous night sky. We saw at least 3 shooting stars! The pontoon boat was tons of fun. We really enjoyed motoring around and exploring the chain of lakes. We also tried some fishing. Overall, we enjoyed our stay immensely. It was a great weekend to get away and spend time with our friends. We would love to come again, and hope to book a stay real soon!

This was a beautiful home to come and stay in. We came up to relax, fish, and snowmobile. It was perfect weather! It snowed almost the entire time we were here which was perfect for snowmobiling! We caught about 20 perch ice fishing. We took a walk around the island and that was lots of fun. The home here is just perfect. We had such a wonderful time and enjoyed the home so much we are already planning our trip to return for next year with more of our friends and family. Thank you so much for everything!
-The Isaacsons and The Schmidts from Door County, WI and Green Bay, WI

Merry Christmas! We had a great time with family and friends here. It was nice to spend Christmas in a log cabin and a white Christmas. Everything was fantastic. We would definitely rent this house again during the winter and maybe try the summer too! Beautiful house!
-The Rogers from Minneapolis, MN
Wow! What a beautiful place to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary! Your home exceeded our expectations! It’s absolutely beautiful and the location is heavenly! We did a little fishing, some exploring, shopping, and a whole lot of relaxing! Who knew doing nothing could be so fun!! It was great to get away from it all for a few days to such an amazing place! We played a lot of pool; I think my husband let me win twice , just enough to make me think I’m “good”! We definitely hope to return- maybe with our families!! Thank you so much for sharing your slice of heaven with us!!
-The Ripps from Lodi, WI
This has been one of the best vacations. The place was beautiful. My son-in-law surprised us by bringing us to share this family vacation with my daughter and granddaughters. The weather was great. My daughter and I tried canoeing, but ended up in the lake with clothes and all! We went horseback riding with the grandchildren. A good time was had by all. The place is great!
-The Neutons from Los Angeles, CA
What a lovely piece of the Northwoods you have! This setting on Catfish Lake is simply the best! We loved everything about the home. We went hiking and took a trip up to Bond Falls – the best waterfall we have ever seen. We would highly recommend the Riverstone restaurant for dinner – the best restaurant by far in this area. If you have a chance, take a canoe trip around the lake. You just might encounter the massive bald eagle and get a close up view like we did, as well as see mother loon and her little ones! Sometime, I would like to come here and stay put for a whole day or two and just enjoy the ambiance of your log home. It really is everything a northwoods get away should be! Thanks for sharing your piece of paradise!
-The Webers from Germantown, WI
We had a perfectly wonderful week. So relaxing and a much needed respite from the demands of the world. We enjoyed hikes, a visit to Bond Falls in Michigan, and canoe “voyages” on the lake. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!
-The Collings, The Adkins and The Spragues from Littleton, CO
Wow! What an experience! You have a beautiful home. We decided to come back again next year five minutes after walking in the door. Loved all the bathrooms! Sorry to have to leave this little slice of heaven. We found lots of things to occupy our time. Pool table was great. House is decorated beautifully – very comfortable. Felt right at home! Only 52 more weeks before we come back!!
-The Bogenschuetzs, The Heckels, The Carriveaus from Sheboygan, WI and Plymouth, WI
We enjoyed your lovely home and savored the sounds and spectacles of your peninsula site. What a great place for a family reunion! Thank you!
-The Coombs and The Kechs from Madison, WI, Waupaca, WI, Rutland, VT, Cleveland, OH, St. Paul, MN, Wauwautosa, WI, and Oakland, CA
First time for my family to Eagle River and what a nice place! We loved the cabin and most appreciated its location. Muskrats, eagles, osprey and wood ducks. Perch, sun fish, small mouth bass and blue gill. Fires on the point and a lot of time to unwind from life ‘down south’. I look forward to returning!
-The Dalans from Warrenville, IL
After taking a tour of the Island View Lodge we were very happy to make it our home for a week. Our family has enjoyed a “3 generation vacation” in Eagle River for the last 9 summers and plans to spend the 10th here again!
-The Karwoskis from Winfield, IL
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We didn’t spend a lot of time inside, because the snowmobile trails were great! Spent the majority of our weekend snowmobiling. Went to the Holiday Lodge yesterday. It rose from the ashes and turned into an awesome bar. Today we started at Sankey’s, home of the World Famous Bloody Marys. It was a 15 course meal and we highly recommend trying one! Tonight we helped Twelve Pines Restaurant empty out their liquor supply by buying up their dollar drinks! Gourmet meals, long rides, and lots of laughs! No one is ready for bed and we’re off to make snow angels in the front yard. Thanks again for a wonderful weekend!
-The Butenschoens from Woodstock, IL
Thanks for the hospitality! We did not end up spending much time inside – too many stops along the snowmobile trails. Had great snow, fun and friendship with 8 snowmobiles. 4th annual trip for us. It’s not about the snowmobiling; it is about the friendship of the trip!
-The Nacks, The Knutsons, The Murreys and The Davis from Mankato, MN
It is our first night here. We celebrated our friend’s birthday. The place is wonderful. It’s fun just being here with great friends and food! Dinner at the Riverstone Restaurant was great! A couple of us went snowshoeing while the others shopped in town. We spent another wonderful evening together playing cards, laughing and toasting our friends who sold their home! What wonderful memories we are making. Thanks for letting us stay. We look forward to coming again soon! It’s a wonderful place!
-The Mangins and Friends from Neenah, WI
What a wonderful weekend of snowmobiling! We put on 180 miles which was way too much for most of us. Other than the stiff and sore muscles, everyone had a great time. Thank you for everything!
-NDA Systems, Inc. from Milwaukee, WI
Our stay at the cabin was magnificent and we enjoyed it VERY much. We hope to return again! Thank you!
-The Burns, The Molinas and The Tennents from Aurora, IL
“Heaven seems a little closer in THIS house beside the water.” No truer words were ever spoken! We had a wonderful time talking, knitting, talking, walking, talking, shopping, talking, and hiking. The weather for October was unexpectedly great in the mid-sixties. We had beautiful starry nights and sunny days. The Island View Lodge is amazing and so well appointed. So hard to leave! We look forward to returning with our entire family. It’s a great place to enjoy time with your children.
-The Deutschs and Friends from Wauwautosa, WI
What a great week! Northern Wisconsin is heaven on earth. The trees around here are like none other. This is our third year up to this area and this cozy place is our top choice! We spent our week completely relaxed. Our kids were obsessed with the pool table, spent endless hours making a picture book on the porch with Grandma, endlessly talked about the boat and water. We took many boat rides and enjoyed watching the otter flirt with us and watching the eagles, deer, and chipmunks. The fires were so peaceful we even got a few days of swimming and tubing in. We decided to go horseback riding at Pine Point Ranch. It was perfect and the kids were thrilled! Tons of fun! We’ll definitely be back if there is room on the reservation list! God has blessed our time here. Thank you!
-The Liljedebls and Heyers from Eden Prairie, MN, St. Louis Park, MN and Osceola, WI
We had such a lovely time in this beautiful spot enjoying wonderful Wisconsin. This is our first vacation away from the kids and we miss them very much, but are enjoying this time of relaxation!
-The Chrostowskis from Janesville, WI
We had a wonderful time. Thank you for sharing your cabin.
-The Rices from Milton, WI
Great time! We went on a nature hike, out on the canoe, boating and fishing. Our favorite was time with our family in such a quiet peaceful place. A wonderful vacation!
-The Jaydfelds from DeForest, WI
This was a dream family vacation. We, our grown kids and their spouses, all truly enjoyed this wonderful home. Thanks for sharing it!
-The Sherecks from Edgerton, WI
What a beautiful home! We never dreamed this would be such a nice place! We absolutely love it! We did a lot of fishing, caught perch and some blue gill. Had a homemade fish fry – yum! Went on the bike trail and also did our fair share of shopping in town. (Bought plenty of fudge and moccasins.) Also, golfed and cooked all of our dinners in your fabulous kitchen. The wildlife also kept us entertained with lots of eagles, otters, deer and loons! You are very blessed to have such a nice lake home. Thank you so much for sharing it with us!
-The Jajtners, The Whislus and The Demetrys from Menominee Falls, WI, West Bend, WI and Milwaukee, WI
My sisters and our husbands have been looking forward to this vacation and celebrating our parent’s 50th anniversary for a year and a half! We all haven’t been together at one time for many years. We’ve had a great time bringing up old memories and making lots of new ones. We listened to the loons and eagle and watched the chipmunks and deer. The girls got to do some shopping and the guys went golfing. We all enjoyed being out on the water and fishing as well. Enough fish were caught for a fish fry one day! We had a couple campfires and lots of good times around the table for meals and games. Our time here has been peaceful and relaxing from quiet times reading, rafting or working on the puzzle to laughing and laughing and laughing! This cottage is the tops and we’ve enjoyed it immensely!
-The Simpsons, The Bennetts, The Lassons and The LeDucs from Manitowoc, WI, Nekoosa, WI and Enterprise, AL
What a wonderful two weeks we have had at the Island View Lodge! We feel so blessed that we were able to relax and enjoy this beautiful place. We have never taken 2 weeks of vacation in a row before and I have decided we will do it again! Every year Eagle River gets that much better. Last year we stayed at the Island View I on Scattering Rice Lake. It was beautiful. The Island View Lodge is wonderful too and Catfish Lake is a great place for our kids to learn to water ski, tube, and fish. The evening with the fire was great. The chipmunks getting into the house was also a fun experience. Watch out for those little rascals! This is a perfect place to spread out and relax. Go-carting and lunch in St. Germain, WI was great. Boating to the Chanticleer Inn for dinner was also fun, as well as Soda Pops and the Riverstone Restaurant downtown. We loved the beach and water. Swimming in Catfish Lake was another highlight. Yes, the shopping too! We can’t wait until next year. Thank you Conger family! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
-The Whites from Vernon Hills, IL
Well, once again another incredible week at the Island View Lodge! All seventeen of us have gotten together for a week in the summer for the past several years to reconnect with our parents, brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. This year was no exception and the great surroundings of the Island View Lodge only enhanced it! After our 4th year, all of us agree that this is our favorite place! Thanks, Congers!
-The Bergs from Neenah, WI
Wow! We are so sad right now because tonight is our last night here. This week went so fast and we REALLY want to come back next year. Tomorrow is my birthday and I loved being here to open early presents. We grilled out, went swimming, tanned and enjoyed the up north feel. Every single night we had a fire. We don’t want to wash our sweatshirts so we’ll remember being here! This cabin gave our family so many memories and fun. We’ll miss it so much. The loft was wonderful and so were the beds! The grandparents sat out on the table under the wrap around porch every morning to enjoy coffee and crossword puzzles. We will miss seeing that every morning as well as everything else! Thank you for this wonderful cabin that has created so many memories.
-The Klements from Madison, WI
Thanks so much for sharing your home with us! It is absolutely beautiful – very relaxing and serene! There was something for everyone here and everything was used and enjoyed!
-The Fraziers from Green Valley, AZ
The cabin really is beautiful. We loved having the whole peninsula to ourselves. The endless supply of firewood really is endless! Fishing was good and we caught some huge crappies. For us women, we were troopers and fished with some of us enjoying it more than others. Lots of laughs while hanging out and having cocktails. Great way to spend time with friends and family. We hope to return!
-The Cooksons, The Hornbys, The Koesters and The Gresons from Clyman, WI, Sun Prairie, WI, Lake Mills, WI and Watertown, WI
The first annual all men’s Christian retreat. We thank God for this day and all His many blessings first. We thank you for the wonderful place you have made! Our time here was just great and restful. Fellowship comes in all different ways. Your place gives us warmth and a feeling of joy, peace, and love. God’s blessings be upon the Conger family. Thank you!
-The Markowskis, The Johnsons and Friends from Cicero, IL, Brookfield, WI, Westchester, IL, Strikney, IL and Springfield, IL
Dear Conger family – Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with the 8 of us. After a group Internet search, we stumbled across your home as a potential site for our group 40th birthday celebration. We booked it and it was everything we dreamed of! Days were spent cruising bars and gift shops while nights were spent hanging out here around the fire. Your house is great. The beds were soft. The best part was the walk out on the frozen lake. We hope to be back some day!
-The Helfrichs, The O’Briens, The Manns and The Frances from Rochelle, IL
The 10th annual “Boys Snowmobile Trip”. Seven of us came with 8 sleds. Luckily we’re leaving with all eight sleds. It was warm everyday, but the trails were still good. Food was great and the company exceptional. As far as the house goes, it’s definitely not a cabin. We’ll be back!! Loved the area and amenities in the house.
-The Mikuleckys and Friends from Bloomingdale, IL
We had a great time staying here. We LOVED the cabin. The cold didn’t keep us off the snowmobile trails. Loved the eagle carvings on the top of the stairs. Your cabin has a really beautiful view. If you ever go to the Braywood Resort try their chili!
-The Conlons from Lake Geneva, WI
Hello! We all had a wonderful time here! It was so nice to relax and catch up with the family. This is such a beautiful lodge and the scenery is great! Thank you for our stay here.
-The Knapps from Inver Grove, MN
Hi! The weather was cool and the leaves were in peak color! The cabin is beautiful and the scenery too. We went to the Whitetail restaurant in St. Germain, WI. Enjoyed some long walks. Saw cranes and gulls. We had a wonderful time here and thank you so much for sharing your summer home with us. We have stayed here in the north woods several times and this is by FAR the nicest vacation home we have been to. Not only the home, but the view and set up as well!
-The Wirths from Custer Park, IL
Best weather ever! This is our second time here and we were glad we brought our boats. Try the puzzle – it’s not easy!
-The Monona Card Club from Monona, WI and Cottage Grove, WI
This place is GREAT just to put it mildly. My first reaction when I walked in the house – BEAUTIFUL! Exactly what we were hoping for! (And so much more.) Exploring each room was nothing short of magnificent. Knowing that we would be getting married here in the backyard, we felt in our hearts this was the most perfect and romantic setting. And the wedding went off without a hitch. Beautiful weather, no wind, and the lake side made that day so much more special to us. We didn’t even need many decorations. The house was too perfect just the way it was. Sitting around the campfire, playing games and talking with our closest friends was tons of fun as well. We decided we are definitely going to return here and get away from the busy city life. Thank you for sharing your lodge with us!
-The Hinzs and The Heils from Sheboygan, WI and Wausau, WI
We had sooo much fun here! From making yummy s’mores to getting flipped while tubing and going backwards was the greatest. This is a really pretty lodge. Keep up the good work!!!
-The Karajiks, The Fridmans and The Orlovs from Chicago, IL
Fun, family, friends, campfires under the stars. A great early fall break! Loved the cabin and its entire ambience. We needed to be here. It was the break from the nervous, hectic city life that calmed our souls. Life is beautiful again!
-The Laws, The Heiers and The Johnstons from Milwaukee, WI, Appleton, WI and Minneapolis, MN
“I wish we had one more day.” That’s what we were all thinking. Knee boarding, tubing, skiing, building sand castles, inventing games, playing old games and always staying up late. Having campfires and playing the piano too. You have a great place here, no complaining AT ALL! We had 17 people and never felt crowded. This is our third year and will not be our last. This cottage has as many memories as our real homes do. Don’t change a thing!
-The Bergs and The Kratzs from Neenah, WI
Our second time here. The home is a wonderful place to stay with plenty of room for everyone and well equipped with everything you need. Thank you for sharing your home.
-The Sternitzkys and The Nelsons from Granton, WI and Minneapolis, MN
Such a beautiful place for a family gathering. Peaceful mornings on the porch or on the lake watching osprey, the muskrat and the chipmunk. Always something to see!
-The Shibilskis and The Reifs from Fox Point, WI, Saukville, WI and San Anbeld, TX
It’s time to leave and we are doing so with many happy memories. We’re hard pressed to say what ones gave us the most joy. The daily rides in the pontoon boat, the fishing, (including a Muskie), the evenings sitting around a bonfire, (the unlimited supply of firewood was great), playing the old tunes on the beautiful piano and last, but not least, the Lodge itself. It was great and we hope to do it again! P.S. – We saw and enjoyed the eagles everyday!
-The Babcocks, The Stolpas, The Choinskis and The Blaedows from New Berlin, WI, West Allis, WI and Franklin, WI
12th Annual Couples Weekend! We love your cabin! Our visit was fabulous! We would love to return, perhaps with our kids! The space of the cabin was great for the amenities. We loved the food at Michael’s Restaurant. Josh was very helpful, even checked on us after our arrival. Thanks to all who made our stay very enjoyable.
-The Weehers, The Mayerdirks, The Nolotrys and The Heutons from Oshkosh, WI, Rogers, MN, Greenfield, MN and Corcoran, MN
Girl’s Weekend! Fabulous! Loved the cabin! This is the first place (after 12 year) that we considered making this the place we go to every year. I’d love to come back in the summer! Thanks for sharing this place!
-The Emmons and Friends from Orlando, FL
Eagles soaring, Jack-a-pouring, loons calling, pants-a-falling, lake glistening, no ones listening, crayfish crawling, snails hiding, Butch-a-biting, campfire crackling, Sara cackling, laughter wafting, beers-a-tasting, pancakes frying, burgers splattering, log cabin sleeping… We loved our stay!
-The Koenigs from Waunakee, WI
Happy New Year! After many hours of fruitful fishing, we ate ourselves silly. We also enjoyed many ultra-competitive games of National Parks, Monopoly, Cranium, and Guess. We all enjoyed reclining couches for an occasional nap. As for leaving the house – why bother?! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and hope for a wonderful New Year!
-The Teichmans from Plain Field, IL
What a beautiful home to spend time together. We had a wonderful time! The porch was our favorite place; the girls loved the great room in front of the fire. Lots of cards, laughs, shopping, music and good friends. Thanks so much for the opportunity to enjoy the northwoods together.
-The Arkins, The Hardys, The Foleys and The Hermansons from Monona, WI and Cottage Grove, WI
We came to this cabin with a 1st grader, 2 toddlers and an infant and found plenty of activities to keep all of them busy. (And falling asleep exhausted at the end of every day!) During out stay, we discovered nature and nature discovered us! We saw chipmunks and even a black bear cub swimming in the water looking for a fish during a pontoon boat outing one afternoon! Fishing for the men was also eventful catching 2 muskies which they released. You have a gorgeous home and property surrounding the cabin. Playing in the sand and water, sitting around the fire both indoors and outdoors, and cooking meals in the fabulous kitchen will never be forgotten. Thank you for opening your doors to us.
-The Coxs and The Martones from Milwaukee, WI
You home is absolutely beautiful and very spacious! We never felt crowded with so much room! Weather was beautiful as well. We were able to catch some fish too with 3 large muskies and the kids caught fish off the pier that were far too many to count. We saw the baby eagle and two other eagles on the same island. We also saw many loons! We had fun feeding the chipmunks, seeing deer, listening to the coyotes and all the squirrels! We rented jet skis, had daily rides on the pontoon boat and went tubing! We had a great time! Watching the sunrise on the porch was wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. If you ever think about selling give us a call. We hate to leave!
-The Uelmens, The Kleins, The Johnsons, The Hulicks and The Sharmas from Burlington, WI and Chicago, IL
Awesome! We brought our 4 kids and 2 of their friends for this vacation. Four of the kids are teenagers. Ten minutes after we arrived they asked if we could come back again! The young boys enjoyed catching lots of fish right from the dock. We saw the Northern Lights two evenings in a row. It was spectacular! We even saw a shooting star. It was topped off with the cry of the loons and a campfire, while watching the Northern Lights. Awesome! We loved the beautiful log home and the décor. I want that bear table in the living room! The covered deck was wonderful to sit on. I’m sure we’ll be back again. It went too fast. It feels like we were here only 2 or 3 days. Whoosh! It’s over. Looking forward to returning. Thanks!
-The Halletts from Columbus, OH
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful home with us. We almost didn’t come because I just found out I have cancer. BUT, the doctor was able to postpone surgery until after this vacation. It was a chance for all of our family to be together and share wonderful memories. We loved watching the eagles and listening to the loons! Everything here was so beautiful!
-The Zimmermans from Delafield, WI and Schaumburg, IL
This was truly one of the best vacations we’ve had. The lodge is beautiful and well equipped. The lake is great! The kitchen was just like home… only better! Thank you for sharing your home!
-The Sternitzkys from Granton, WI
Everyone in our family of 11 enjoyed their stay in your lovely home. We had beautiful weather, a nicely decorated home, and the access to all the adjoining lakes offered activities and additional enjoyment for all. P.S. – Don’t forget to feed the chipmunks. They love peanut butter and definitely check out eagle chicky island!
-The Weavers from Beach Park, IL
What a wonderful weekend! We had a great time in your beautiful home! The weather was perfect and sunny the entire time. We spent our days on the lake in the rowboat and the nights in front of the fire roasting marshmallows. It is so peaceful here and romantic. On the night of our anniversary we renewed our vows under the stars with just Mother Nature as our witness. We hate to leave this little piece of heaven and our new friends the chipmunks, the eagles, and the loons. Thank you for sharing it with us! Everything was perfect! It is just what the doctor prescribed! Thank you!!
-The Sinshacks from Evansville, WI

Our first white Christmas! Our family is from California and the ground was white and the lake was frozen here at the Island View Lodge. Perfect! We walked on the water for the first time ever! The house was great, warm, and cozy. Everyone had a place to go. Thank you for providing the Christmas tree! We made ornaments and strung cranberries and popcorn. We had a very special Christmas.
-The Wehrenbergs from Burbank, CA
We love your beautiful log home! The kitchen is so pretty and the chimney is great. We got some downhill snow skiing in at Powderhorn Mountain. It had great slopes and we had a blast! We only wish our stay was longer. Thank you for everything and Go Packers!

The weather was great and the place was spectacular! We had a great 28th couple’s weekend. Listening to the loons is so soothing and watching the eagles soar and fish was the best. This has to be heaven on earth and NO bugs! That was great! We could sit by the fire pit all night with no problems at all. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.
-The Joness and The Tarpiths from Chicago, IL, Blaine, MN, New Brighton, MN and Shoreview, MN
This is the best vacation we’ve ever had! The home is outstanding and the water was clear and beautiful. Our children caught dozens of fish and we saw mama eagle feeding her babies, an otter and several loons! Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven with our family!

We had a wonderful time and loved the house! What a fabulous place! We fed the chipmunks, birds and gulls. We even got a chance to see the loons on the lake. Many thanks for a great time with lots of laughs. We had fun shopping, boating and grilling out. Big thanks to Gabe for all his help!

Left on Isle of B Road and through the woods! We look forward each year to our family vacation at this beautiful log home! Both rustic and luxurious. It has given us many wonderful memories from serene and peaceful mornings on the lake to late-night Scrabble games at the kitchen table. See you next year!

What a great place! Our 3 young children had a great time. They loved to tube, water ski, and catch lots of fish. Our Mom enjoyed herself and had fun with her grandchildren. We think we are going to have to buy a place up here we had so much fun! We only wish our father was alive to be here with us. He would have loved your home! Thank you for sharing your 1st class home with us!
-The Stans from Cincinnati, OH
Our stay is almost over and how fabulous it was! It was just like home, except better! Happy 50th to my husband from all of us. Hope we can do this again for his 51st!! Many thanks for hosting a setting for our family’s memories.
-The Czerwinskis from Geneva, IL
Beautiful home! We wouldn’t change a thing except we’d love to stay longer! Still trying to figure out how you trained the eagle to catch fish right outside our window. Weather was cool so we enjoyed your cozy sheets. The chipmunks liked peanuts for breakfast while we enjoyed coffee on the porch. The grill was clean and worked great. We caught 4 muskies, 3 small mouth bass, and 2 northerns! When we saw the first musky our initial reaction was “we need a bigger boat!” Loved the bike trails, enjoyed golfing, swimming, skiing, horseback riding and shopping. We enjoyed cool, bugless nights around the fire. The house was well equipped for a family. Don’t change a thing! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.
-The Stessmans, The Lovewells and The McGinleys from Providence, RI, Des Moines, IA and Madison, WI
Great area, beautiful cottage. We had a great week. Lots of nice weather! Saw an eagle catch a fish, beautiful star lit nights, great fires, and many good meals in the kitchen! Boating, swimming, lots of laughs and great music. Thank you!
-The Fects from Eau Clarie, WI, Chicago, IL and San Diego, CA
We’re been to many cottages as a family and when we pulled up to the Island View Lodge we felt like we hit the jackpot! What a beautiful area and the cottage was spacious and well equipped. Had a fantastic time. Saw the eagle, the friendly chipmunks and the kids caught lots of fish. Listening to the loons, especially in the morning, was the best. We managed to stay busy with go-carting, shopping, movies and the pool table. And when the sun was out we were all outside in heaven! Thank you for sharing this place with us. It went by much too fast!
-The Bergs and The Kratzs from Saukville, WI and Woodbury, MN

Our first time to the northwoods and we are hooked! What a spectacular way to celebrate Father’s Day! Saw a gorgeous bald eagle right out front of the house.
