Located on beautiful Lake Geneva, Wisconsin in a quiet exclusive residential historic district, three blocks from downtown Lake Geneva Wisconsin on the lake front. Amid giant maples, our Carpenter's Gothic Victorian was built as a private mansion in 1848. We offer romantic private lake side accommodations with courtyards, verandas, and 100-foot pier. Naturally shaded and cool in the summer, cheerily warm in the winter, this historic inn invites you to indulge in the pleasures of a lakefront lifestyle!
THE COUNTRY COTTAGE: A rustic hideaway for a family or just "friends." Natural pine and wide tongue-in groove planking create the woodsy feel of a two room country cabin. Plenty of room with space for five at the breakfast nook next to the gas log fireplace. She will appreciate the whirlpool tub and large pine dressing table in the joining bath that connects the two bedrooms. Wet bar, refrigerator, microwave, air conditioning, plus two TVs. Handicap-accessible.
THE COACH HOUSE: The CH provides an atmosphere of uncommon privacy spread through six interior levels. An L-shaped great room featuring original hayloft plank floor,rafter beams, peaked ceilings, and large southern facing roof windows. The old icehouse is now a balcony kitchen of Italian tile and steel counters with a true hideaway sleep deck. On different elevations are three separate bedrooms, which can sleep up to six. The master bedroom off the great room offers a queen-size bed, with a large mini-blinded roof window for stargazing. Beyond, glass patio doors open onto a spacious private balcony, which affords a sparkling glimpse of beautiful Lake Geneva over the rooftops. Amenities include a TV, central air, a large private courtyard.
THE BRIDAL CHAMBER: A spacious lakeside suite bursting with the gaiety of springtime in the country! Old-fashioned shuttered windows afford a lovely view of the rising moon from the king-size bed. Polished oak floors,old-fashioned lace,angels, and a gracious oak-and-marble fireplace. The large carpeted dressing room features a full-length solid marble dressing table, an abundance of mirrors. High-loft down comforter, private full tub and shower, air conditioning,TV,cocktail refrigerator, and more.

THE CANOPY ROOM: The special appeal of a small room in a large house makes for quiet intimate evenings and sunny days. THE PEACH: Gab on to the sturdy embrace of a 110-year-old, iron and brass queen bed in the cozy Mildred Peach room, named in loving memory of the innkeeper's mother. A separate kinder-sized daybed keeps your options open! Step though sliding glass doors onto your own balcony featuring a starlit view of the grounds-and you'll appreciate both the convenience of an outside staircase and the airy privacy of the wood latticework! Full tub and shower, galley/wet bar, air, and TV. Sleeps up to three person.
CORNELIUS VANDERBILT JR. ROSE ROOM: His favorite chair-still offers one of the finest seats in the house. He spent many peaceful hours here, browsing through the hundreds of classic editions. Warm, polished oak flooring peeps thought contemplative Oriental carpets richly toned in rose, sage and heavy cream. Fresh lake breezes come straight off the water, and the view is unsurpassed for taking in of Lake Geneva's famous sunsets! THE WICKER COURTYARD: Enjoy a breath of fresh air in your own private courtyard, shaded by mature maples and overlooking the lake. Next door a magnificently restored mansion completes the gene. A three-masted Olde New England schooner looms from the mural wall opposite the king-size wicker bed! Includes a hidden TV, air conditioning, Private bath/ shower, gas log fireplace, and kitchenette.

Prices vary by: room, season, day of week, (weekdays are always the best time to come to Lake Geneva) number of persons, and length of stay. To get our best price please call us.
A 50% advance deposit is required, to be applied to the last night of the reservation. Cancellation of any reservation must be accomplished at at least 14 days prior to arrival date. We don't overbook! You make a reservation it will be there. Your don't show up, you pay, that's the deal.
Very important: Only registered guests permitted in the rooms or on the premises. If you want to have a animal party don't stay here. There are several large hotels for that, stay there. Prices include a continental breakfast, except the coach house and country cottage, so enjoy. All major credit cards accepted. Dogs with prior approval only.
