Nestled on the northeast hill side of Day Island. Enjoy the beauty of the Puget Sound. We are directly on the water with dock access. From the living room there is a fantastic view of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. At times you can see the Seals in the Bay, watch the Blue Heron on the Dock or see the Eagles soar. Kingfisher Birds, Sea Gulls, Ducks and a variety of other birds frequent the bay. Day Island Bed and Breakfast is only minutes from many exciting attractions including the Chamber Bay Golf Course. Day Island Rental Options
Day Island has four options for renting. The Captain's Quarters, the Cottage upstairs, the Cottage downstairs, and the
whole Cottage. All of the options include use of the beautiful decks, the dock, the grounds, the outdoor dining table, and the bicyle for two.
The Captain's Quarters
This is a unique Bed and Breakfast – you will have the privacy of a condo type living, and access to a full kitchen, living room, dining room and 1.50 bathrooms in the Captain Quarters. The Captain’s Quarters are ideal for a honeymoon suite or executive stays with space for entertaining. With the full kitchen you are able to delight your guest with a home cooked meal or a barbeque on the deck! The Captain’s quarters are ideal for clients with special diets that must prepare their own meals. Private entrance for each unit.
Below Deck Quarters you will have a kitchenette, sitting room and bedroom. The view from the sitting room is spectacular! You are just inches from the water. Rooms are small but quaint. This suite also has a private entrance.
The Cottage
Built in 1921 the cottage has the original pine living room, but the other rooms have been remodeled and are more modern. The Cottage can be divided for separate rentals or rented in its entirety. Jacuzzi Tub in the lower level adjacent to the large bedroom is ideal for honeymooners! Enjoy the view of the sound and gardens.
Day Island B & B is just 15 minutes from Downtown Tacoma. The newly rejuvenated Downtown District boasts of fine dining to funky new bistros. The Convention Center, Glass Museum, Historical Museum, and UW Campus are a few of the Downtown attractions.
10 Minutes from the Point Defiance Park and Tacoma Zoo. And great place to walk the trails and discovery the beauty of the Pacific North West! The Tacoma Zoo is a great way to spend the day and enjoy the aquarium and new exhibits.
Additional Rate Information
From May through September, the grounds at Day Island B&B are available for small weddings /
receptions / meetings (maximum 35).
Suite Rates - $100 - $200
Double or Single occupancy, including continental breakfast. Nightly rate will vary by season, number of people
and rooms occupied. A credit card is required to make a reservation.
A minimum of two nights' booking is required for weekends and summer reservations.
Non-Smoking
We are a non-smoking bed and breakfast. A $150 cleaning charge will be added to your bill if you smoke in your room.

-Check in time is 3 PM or later -Children must be supervised
Cancellations:
Should you find you must cancel, there would be no charge up to seven days in advance of your reservation date. If cancelled within seven days, full charges for all days will apply unless we are able to rebook the room(s). For special events, the cancellation policy ranges from seven - thirty days, based on the event.

Make your magical moments happen at Day Island Bed & Breakfast
The Day Island B&B is perfect for small intimate weddings (under 40 people – arrangements can be made
for a larger group.) Owner/Operator Joyce O'Kane is an ordained minister. At High tide the ceremony can
be performed on the dock or in the yard during low tide. Special attention is given to the ceremony itself –
and the vows are written to reflect the thoughts and feeling of each couple.
The Bed and Breakfast Suite is available for the Honeymoon.
This is for the location only – does not include any food or refreshments. A Tandem bicycle, Pedal Boat and a picnic basket are also available for the Newlywed's enjoyment.
