Wander the garden paths and enjoy the scent of roses and magnolias or stroll across the street to Rees Park to begin you exploration of Americus' beautiful historic district. (We have maps to guide you) Or, you can linger on the veranda. Or of course, you can just lie back in your beautifully appointed guest room and allow the world to drift by without you for awhile.
Americus Garden Inn is completely updated with central heat and air, new plumbing with lots of hot water, new electrical service, emergency lighting and smoke alarms and an ice machine.
Our hot breakfast buffet always includes the finest in traditional southern-style foods. We take pride in assuring no one goes away hungry. Each morning tantalizing gourmet coffee is freshly ground and offered for enjoyment. We also have a selection of teas, coco and juices.
The Veranda Room
Our largest downstairs suite. Featuring a king-sized bed, a garden tub/shower with a separate private toilet, it also has direct private access to the wrap-around veranda. This suite is fully wheelchair accessible.
The Library Suite
The Library suite contains a king bed, en-suite bath with a large shower containing a built in bench and a beautiful sink fitted into an ornate fireplace mantle. There's plenty of room to spread out. We've also added a full length mirror so you don't miss a thing on that final check.
Scarlett's Room
Decorated with dramatic jewel tones, Scarlett's Room features a king-sized bed and huge bath with separate garden tub and shower. Lovely bay window seating makes this a very special room.
The Magnolia Room
Massive antique queen four-poster bed. Antique down sofa. Elegant gold silkscreen wall. Tub/Shower combination with a separate private toilet.
The Balcony Room
Softer tones and first suite to see the sun each morning. King-sized bed, garden tub/shower, private balcony overlooking rear courtyard.
Jacuzzi Room
Our most romantic suite complete with raised 2-person jacuzzi tub in front of an original fireplace (non-operative) mantle. King sized bed and loveseat complete this suite.
The Burgandy Suite
Our Burgandy Suite contains two beds: a queen and a full size. The bath in here has a large shower (complete with built-in bench) instead of a tub/shower. There is also an antique armoire for your belongings. This is a great suite for friends or siblings.
Additional Rate Information
For 1 or 2 guests in one bed per night (plus taxes)
Library, Magnolia, Burgandy and Executive Suites are each $75.00 per night
Balcony, Scarlett and Veranda suites are$85.00 per night
Our Jacuzzi Suite is $95.00
There is an additional $10.00 charge per night for each additional person or additional bed.
We offer a 10% discount when you book 5 or more rooms.
(Whole-house bookings are really popular for weddings, retreats, reunions etc. The inn becomes your home.)
We require a credit card guarantee or advance payment for the first night to reserve a room. We do not charge you credit card prior to your arrival leaving you the option to pay by some other means should you choose.
We may require a two-night minimum on special weekends and for whole-house reservations.
We do charge 50% deposit on reservations of 5 or more rooms.
You must cancel your reservation 48 hours before scheduled arrival to avoid charges.
Whole-house reservations must cancel one month before scheduled arrival or within 48 hours of making the reservation to avoid charges.

Huge comfortable rooms, large ensuite private baths (no standing on the toilet to close the door here) complete with hair dryer, shampoo, lotion, bath additives and plenty of fluffy towels. Your suite will have a private phone and answering machine so that you won't miss calls even if you are out, TV, VCR and comfortable seating. A full, hot breakfast buffet with freshly ground gourmet coffees is included. We also have teas, cocoa and juices and a morning newspaper

The Inn is only a short stroll through lovely historic neighborhoods to downtown where there are antique stores and unique shopping boutiques. Americus is also home to The Tog Shop offering exceptional shopping values in their on site outlet
Americus, Georgia is close to two national historic parks. Andersonville civil war prison site and the national POW museum are only 10 miles from us as is Plains, where Jimmy Carter grew up and still resides. Habitat for Humanity's International headquarters is based here as is their "Global Village" where you can see samples of the housing built worldwide. |
