Seashell Cottage, 3 bedrooms, is an easy drive from Seattle on I - 5 and only minutes from the Canadian border, near Blaine and Semiahmoo. The cottage is a mere 15 second walk to the safest, warmest waters of the Pacific Northwest and located in a pleasant village atmosphere with shops and restaurants within walking distance. We're so close to the "C" shop and Bay Cafe your kids can walk and get candy and ice cream or a snack or lunch. Lora's Cottage, 2 bedrooms, is across from Seashell and is about a 10 second walk to the beach.
Seashell, our larger cottage, has a queen bed in the Master with its own 3/4 heated tiled floor bath, our other two bedrooms feature choice of either twins or king beds. The cottage is inviting & roomy with an open living, dining kitchen area with lots of sunshine. The family room is Light & airy with wicker & our 2nd cable LCD TV/DVD/VCR. Our saltillo tiled seasonal sunroom, accessible via the family room and living room offers additional room to relax. French doors lead from it to the huge, Weber BBQ & patio with picnic table all in a large fenced yard, great for kids and grown ups. There's a Whirlpool Duet washer/dryer so need to go out for laundry. Just the right mix of relaxed vintage with all of today's comforts make this cottage a treasure in Birch Bay for your family vacation, reading group, golfing group or crafters.
Lora's Cottage is full of charm, just as her name implies. The first bedroom features a queen memory mattress and the second has a full size charming wicker headboard. A completely new kitchen with ceramic top range is fully supplied and still evokes 1930's charm. We've added a delightful china tea set in a little painted cupboard plus some Stash tea to go with. Two LCD TV/DVD's plus a VCR with suround sound are available for your enjoyment. And if you'd like a cozy fire while you sip tea, a tiled wood stove with wood and fire starters (sometimes we're even able to build a fire for you) is all the invitation you need. A quaint front porch & white picket fence offer a bit of nostalgia as ocean breezes caress. A picnic table, a beautiful green enameled Weber BBQ & large yard make this cottage perfect for outdoor fun. Lora's is a perfect little house for 2, accommodates four comfortably & six in a pinch. Full laundry is in separate bunk house.
The cottages offer lots of privacy, but are not off the beaten path. They're in the Heart of Old Birch Bay where you can walk to shops & restaurants and bask in laid back Birch Bay style!
Both cottages are seconds from public beach with lots of room. Lora's Cottage offers private beach on a privately owned spit of land, accessible via a gated footbridge.
Our area treats you to the greatest diversity, lots of recreational opportunities, including two World Class Golf courses. Amusement parks & Surries add to the beach community flare. Watch European trained chocolatiers at work, just blocks from the cottage. Quaint Bellingham is full of museums & shops, Dutch Lynden is a real treat. Explore the countryside with its many farms cateringng to the public, with everything from wine, cheese or berries. For more fast paced international adventure, visit Vancouver or enjoy English Victoria. A network of ferries & private charters are ready to help you explore the coast & islands.
The two Cottages are just across the narrow lane from each other, rent both to sleep 17.
Need more room? We have a motor home hook up next to Seashell Blackbird, a bunkhouse, sits within easy view of Lora's and will sleep 2 to 3.
The rates shown for Lora's are $225 per night and $1,150 per week, peak season, $150 and $850 off season. This website is very difficult to work with, sorry!
