Fishermen & Fisherwomen, come try your luck on the Black River, minutes from Castle Hill Resort & Spa. This four-mile stretch of river is managed by the state of Vermont as a “Trophy Trout Area”, one of only four in the state, with fish averaging 14” to 18”. The Black is classic New England water with an interesting mix of pools, runs, and riffles. Kevin Ladden, a local Orvis endorsed fly fishing guide, would be pleased to show you an enjoyable day on the river. All equipment provided.

Spa – Located in the former carriage house of the mansion, which is listed on the National Historic Register, this Aveda Concept Spa features dozens of services, heated pool, fitness center, and spa cuisine.
Fitness – From tennis pros to personal trainers, get into shape at the Spa. Private and group tennis lessons are available. State of the art, Cybex weight and cardio machines will work every muscle – including the heart!
Event coordination – Weddings, board meetings, retreats, birthdays and anniversaries. Whatever the occasion our event coordinator will coordinate and attend to every last detail. Castle Hill offers the perfect, private location for your next event.
Fine Dining - The highly acclaimed restaurant serves innovative New American cuisine composed with classical French techniques. Castle Hill is proud to be a partner with the Vermont Fresh Network, using local products whenever possible.
Castle Rooms:
Comfortable and elegant guestrooms await you! There are ten guestrooms located in the mansion. Each guest rooms is furnished with period pieces as well as modern amenities. An ample supply of plump pillows is sure to guarantee a good night’s sleep. Heirloom quality linens in rich tones and intricately designed plaster ceilings are a few of the details that will enchant each guest. Each room has a private bath, cable TV and telephone. Six of the rooms feature decorative fireplaces and three have whirlpool tubs. The mansion is also available for groups who are interested in having a private function.

Nestled among tall pines with views of Vermont’s Green Mountains, our Resort Home Rentals are a perfect getaway for your family, friends or business colleagues. Comfortable, spacious and elegantly appointed with handcrafted furniture and state-of-the art conveniences, you’ll feel right at home. Conveniently located just behind the mansion, you’re only steps from our award winning spa, tennis courts and restaurant. All the services available to the mansion are extended to our resort home guests.
