From the original artwork, solid wood floors and marble bathrooms, to the serene and spacious landscaped gardens, View of the Gulf has it all.
As the name suggests, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy far-reaching vistas over the picturesque Gulf of Mexico from many of the rooms inside the house. But as anyone who has been to Anna Maria will tell you, itâs what happens when the sun goes down that brings people here year after year. The sunsets on Anna Maria are breathtaking, filling the sky with a spectacular light show of blues, reds and a myriad golden hues. And you can enjoy natureâs most amazing light show for free from the comfort of your very own rooftop observation deck, reached by a spiral stair from the level below.
You can't put a price on watching the sun dip slowly and silently beneath the distant waves over the gulf, but you can on a vacation rental as magical as this one â and you might be surprised at just how affordable this level of luxury can be. Unlike some rental properties you might see, the owners of View of the Gulf have put just as much attention into creating the perfect space outside as they have inside. Step out onto one of the private balconies, climb the spiral staircase to the rooftop observation deck, or simply wander into the lush tropical gardens and you will instantly see why we think this place is so special.
For your enjoyment, the owners have provided a whole host of beach accessories inside the spacious garage. There is also a 30ft backyard shuffleboard court. Additional parking for guests is available in the paved turnaround area.
Being outside and enjoying the cool sea breezes and year-round sunshine is what Anna Maria Island is all about - and that is just what View of the Gulf is about also. With three levels of decking surrounding the property and extensive landscaped gardens, there is a wonderful feeling of calm wherever you sit.
The centerpiece of the tranquil setting is the 35ft tropical paradise pool which features a five-person spa, waterfall, and swim-up table to share a drink and nibbles in between long spells of taking it easy in the relaxing waters of the electrically heated pool.
There is also a fabulous wet tiki bar nestled under a covered lanai for beach-style entertaining. In here you will find an outdoor TV and fridge underneath the tiki bar to help keep those mixers cold. Hang around in the hammock, cool yourself off under the outdoor shower, and fire up the gas grill barbecue for some real island-style cuisine.
You might even forget there is a world-renowned beach within a few steps. That beach is a mere few steps from the property and is easy to spot from one of the observation decks. From the roof you can watch the sun go down in private if you care to - it really is incredibly romantic. You will not find a better spot to vacation than View of the Gulf!

This was a last minute rental for 3 families - 6 adults and 8 kids. Loved the outdoor area - tiki bar and pool were great. Super short walk to beach, easy to bike to shopping, ice cream, etc. Home well stocked - few bikes, helmets, beach toys, extra towels. Had A/C issue that was quickly resolved. Had a great time! There were 14 of us and it never felt crowded. Close to the beach and pool was perfect. Only complaint is that the air conditioning didn’t work well in the first floor which had one of the family rooms. Recommend renting golf carts to get around the island. -- Sandy ~ we are so happy that you and your group enjoyed your stay at View of the Gulf. It really is a beautiful home with a great location! I am sorry to hear about the a/c issue during your stay. We had a great time with my parents and my brothers and our families. Everything was perfect. Only constructive criticism is the property needs more garbage cans. -- Jason, thank you so much for your kind words about View of the Gulf! We are so happy that it was the perfect place for your family's stay. I'm not sure if you are speaking about interior trash cans or the outside ones that are provided by the county. We will check next time we are there and if interior ones are needed, that is an easy fix. Unfortunately, the cans provided by the County are all that they provide to the homes on the island ~ additional ones are not given out or picked up on the weekly routes. Just checked out today and can’t wait to plan our next family vacation. Would definitely come back to this beautiful house. Well equipped, beautiful decor. View of the gulf from kitchen. Our family of 12 had a fabulous time, something for everyone. Pool area was awesome. Beach not crowded and so peaceful. 2 minute walk to gorgeous sunset every night. House was great. Short walk to beach. House has everything and more. Has a ton of towels , two washer n dryers! A lot of steps though ... so if your handicapped or have a hard time with steps like I do with bad knee that is hard with 4 sets steps. Kitchen is completely equipped except for scissors . Has two living rooms upstairs and one down. Has tons beach stuff , chairs and pool toys. Has bikes also. My family really enjoyed our time there! -- We are beyond happy to hear that you enjoyed View of the Gulf and everything the home has to offer our guests! We are sorry to hear about the difficulty with the stairs, please call us directly in the future so we may hand select a home that has an elevator for you! Wife and I brought our family of 13 with kids and grandkids for a great week at the breach. The house is extremely well-maintained, roomy and comfortable. The outside pool was perfect for small children and the hot tub was among the hottest I’ve enjoyed. The beach is just a short half block away and there were chairs, a wagon and umbrellas for our use which made time at the beach that much more enjoyable.
