Cabin #1 was designed and completely rebuilt by us, the owners!
Come and enjoy experiencing nature first hand while being surrounded by endless acres of wilderness. The cabin borders a hemlock forest with the sight and sound of a rolling stream with small waterfalls and walking trails.
As you drive towards the cabin, you will be welcomed by mountains, trees, fields, streams, deer, turkeys, and boundless views of nature that will make you feel like you are staying at a State Park.
This entire cabin has log siding on the outside and Rough Cut Pine wood in the inside. The front porch has posts used from the trunks of hemlock trees found and picked from the property. The property is lined with paths made out of endless rows of fieldstone taken from the earth of the premises. Enjoy a campfire while you pick a seat or couch made out of stones that are so large that you can lie down and relax on them.
As you enter this cabin that was originally build from the surrounding trees in the 1940s, you will be able to enjoy the woods and wilderness from the view of 12 large crank open windows. Have a seat at the kitchen breakfast nook, because you will have a great chance of seeing turkeys, which arrive daily and usually with their babies. In the woods, we placed a feeder filled with corn, so this enables you to watch the deer and of course the squirrels feed on the corn and entertain you. When nighttime arrives there is a spotlight out in the woods that shines down on the feeder. This spotlight gets turned on and off just by a switch inside the cabin. It is so exiting to watch the deer and the wildlife in their natural habitat at night!
Next, walk down into the sunk-in living room, and still have a great view of the outside. Relax on the full size futon bed or the two comfortable lazy-boy- reclining chairs, while you watch TV, DVD, VHS Movies, Play Station 2 or sing to talking deer karaoke! Perhaps it is a little chilly, and you would like to start a fire in the real fireplace with plenty of firewood provided for your entire stay!
Walk up one step to the fully equipped kitchen that has a stove, microwave, toaster oven, cooking grill, coffee pot, and refrigerator that is stocked with beautiful dishes in carefully hand crafted cabinets.
The kitchen bar top is hand built with real Cherry wood and is lined with fieldstone all in the front. It can be used to enjoy your meals or an alcoholic beverage and is stocked with plenty of glasses for your favorite drinks. In the stone is built-in round holes to place bottles of beverages, which will get chilled by a small hole that allows cold air from the cellar to chill the bottles. Have a seat at the bar on the neatest bar stools around made out of real trees. So sit, chat, drink, eat, and be merry!
Next to the kitchen is a full bathroom. Nice size one-piece fiberglass shower/ tub, matching wood cabinets and sink, inside bathroom plumbing, and plenty of storage space to put your personal belongings. The bathroom is decorated with bear bathroom carpets and bear scenes.
Upstairs is a large bedroom that has 3 beds. Enjoy 2 queen size beds and 1 full with hand quilted country bed comforters and shams with nature display scenes. Tuck your clothing away too, with matching dressers that are made out of real wood.
Step outside on to the 2nd story balcony, grab a seat to listen and watch the rolling stream. Take a look around and enjoy nature, animals, and the beautiful view of the Hemlock forest all from a front row seat on a hand built open-air deck. Continue down onto wooden steps to relax in a huge Jacuzzi that is big enough to be a pool. Sit and enjoy the rumbling warm water and massages from the many jets in this 6 person Jacuzzi with 5 sit downs and one lay down. All while you are a succumbed by nature all around you.

Numerous ski resorts in and around the Poconos offer some of the closest and most accessible skiing to the major populated areas of Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington DC areas.
Camelback Ski Area - the most ski runs in the Poconos
Blue Mountain Ski Area - the largest vertical drop in Pennsylvania (1,082 feet) and closest to Philadelphia
Elk Mountain Ski Area - one of the larger areas with 30 trails, the highest ski peak at 2,600+ feet and a 1,000-foot vertical drop
Sno Mountain Ski Area - just outside of Scranton, features the steepest terrain in the Poconos and a 1,000-foot vertical drop
Shawnee Mountain Ski Area - closest to New York City, just across the Delaware from New Jersey, suited for families & beginners
Jack Frost Mountain and Big Boulder - Both resorts are owned by the same parent company. Jack Frost serves to cater to more traditional family skiing, while Big Boulder is largely focused towards terrain park skiing and snowboarding.
Ski Big Bear
Tanglewood - closed for the 2007/2008 season due to economic reasons.
Alpine Mountain
Eagle Rock Resort - the westernmost of the Pocono ski areas
Ski areas in the Poconos are not particularly large and do not have large vertical drops (Blue Mountain Ski Area has the largest at 1,082 feet), so runs tend to be on the shorter side. However, the Poconos do offer conveniently located skiing, and many areas also offer night skiing. Many Pocono ski resorts cater to both winter and transform themselves into water parks for summer visitors.
Downhill skiing is also offered at resort-hotel properties (such as Skytop Lodge and Fernwood) where guests can use the facilities as part of their stay.
