Hilltop Haven, a spacious 4BR, 3BA mountain lodge in Boone, is located on a hilltop. It is located only 2 miles away from downtown and all that the High Country offers. Blowing Rock is located 9 miles south of Banner Elk and less than 20 miles west. Valle Crucis is only 11 miles from Blowing Rock. Tweetsie Railroad and Appalachian Ski Mountain are both 7 miles away. Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Hawksnest Ski Tubing & ziplines and Beech Mountain Ski Resort are all less than 18 miles away. Grandfather Mountain is about 22 miles away. Watauga Lake and New Rivers are also nearby. Linville Caverns and Linville Falls are located approximately 30 miles apart. Hilltop Haven is located on a large grassy parcel near the end of quiet mountain road. The breathtaking mountain views make it feel remote. From the hilltop you can see the Brookshire Park, the soccer fields and downtown Boone. The majority of this property is grassy and level with mature trees and pastures. This is a great place to play and run with dogs and children. The grounds feature a wood-burning fire pit, picnic tables, ample parking and a garage for one car. The main floor features a central great room with vaulted and exposed beams. Pine plank walls, hardwood floors, and pine plank ceilings are also featured. The living room has a large HDTV and large windows. It also features leather sofas and armchairs. The kitchen has custom shaker style cabinets, granite counters, an undermount sink, and stainless appliances. The Dining Room features a pass-through to the Granite Counter/Bar Top, which has additional barstool seating for up to four guests. A central round table can seat eight more. The foyer and the great room share a bathroom. The rear deck runs along the entire length of the home. The covered area outside of the dining room has a gas BBQ and an outdoor table and chair. The deck is open air and has Adirondack chairs, gliders, and a hot spa. The main master bedroom has a king bed and glass sliding doors that lead out to the rear deck. The locally crafted King bed has matching bedside tables and is handmade. The dresser features an HDTV and a walk-in closet. It also has a private bathroom that includes a double vanity, a bathtub/shower combo, and a walk-in closet. The upstairs bathroom is shared by both bedrooms. The bathroom has a double vanity and a bathtub/shower combo. One bedroom has a king bed and a chair which opens to become a twin sleeper. The other bedroom, across the hall, has a custom-made log queen-sized mattress. The room also has a twin daybed, and twin Trundle beds that can be pulled out. Both bedrooms feature HDTVs and mountain views. The downstairs sitting area has a round table where you can play cards, do puzzles or relax. There is a beautiful shuffleboard and ping-pong tables in the garage. The media room and den is equipped with a wall mounted HDTV, comfortable furnishings, and a full size sleeper sofa. This is an ideal space for teenagers and children who need a second sleeping area. The bunk room is located next door to the den. It features tongue-and groove ceilings and custom log furniture. The bunk room can accommodate either a queen-over-twin or twin-over-2-twin-bed. The bunk bedrooms are adjacent to a laundry room and full-size bathroom. A walking path leads to the Greenway Trail from the rear of the property. Boone's most prominent feature. The Greenway Trail is miles of walking, running, and cycling. The Greenway Trail can be reached by walking 0.4 miles from Hilltop Haven. Click this link for more information about the Greenway Trail. Brookshire Park and ASU are also easily accessible. Hilltop Haven is less than a mile away from both. We can accommodate up to fourteen guests. Downstairs Bedroom has Queen Bed, Twin Over Twin Beds and Queen Bed.
