A charming lakefront house on Kerr Scott Lake between Boone and Wilkesboro, with views of the lake, the mountains, and the sunsets. With private lakefront property, including a dock, Heron Hideaway makes for the ideal family vacation getaway. Only 6 miles to Wilkesboro and 25 miles to Boone makes this a convenient destination near shopping, restaurants, and less than a half-hour to all the High Country has to offer.  

Lake activities such as: water skiing, fishing, paddling, swimming, and just cruising the waters and shores of Kerr Scott are yours to enjoy at Heron Hideaway! Foothills Outdoor Adventures is less than 5 miles away, and they provide rentals for tubing, canoeing, paddle boarding, pontoon boats, and more. Bring your boat or arrange for delivery of a rental from the nearby marina. Heron Hideaway also offers a hot tub and pool table. The floating dock at the end of an outdoor stairway offers deep water access, kayaks for guest use, and plenty of room to hang out under the sunshine at the lake!  This private, wooded frontage on Kerr Scott Lake makes this a special waterfront vacation for families to enjoy!

Enjoy stunning lake views from the sunroom that boasts a large dining table, rocking chairs and comfortable seating. The hot tub and gas grill on the back deck are also framed by the lake view. The open kitchen boasts plenty of space with granite countertops for convenience in making meals for a full house. There is a main floor king bedroom with a private bathroom, two upstairs bedrooms sharing a jack-and-jill bathroom, and two twin beds in the lower level open room, which also includes a tv, couch, games and the pool table. 

There are life jackets for all ages supplied in the lower level closet. The main level offers central heating and air conditioning, while the lower level and upper level have heat and a/c units to stay comfortable year round. Up to two pets are welcome to be included with a reservation, additional pet fees apply.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
You may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. If you cancel more than 30 days before arrival, you will receive a refund of half the amount paid to date. Cancellations within 30 days before the arrival date do not receive a refund. If you purchase travel insurance and the reason for the cancellation is covered, you may recover the entire amount.
