The owner has spared no expense to make this one of the finest accommodations you will find on Castle Rock Lake for your vacation getaway! Your serene retreat is located in a hidden area of nature and plantation pines, which has been home to wildlife such as deer, fox, osprey, cranes, and an occasional friendly box turtle. The beauty of this rolling land is fresh and vivid, allowing you to partake in northwoods nature in a secluded bay of Castle Rock Lake — while surrounded by astonishing furnishings.
As you enter the slate foyer, you are greeted with double beech wood staircases leading to the two separate upstairs bedroom suites. An artisan chandelier lights your way from this 20’ grand foyer. The mirror of the foyer half-bath is adorned with a turn of the century copper hotel window frame and ceramic vessel sink. The entire 3600 square footage of this modern “lodge” is covered with a unique Amish-milled cherry wood flooring. The natural blending of various woods and texture continues throughout your private lodge … with travertine, granite, maple, basswood, leather and slate.
The lodge feeling of this home stems from the separation of living quarters for your friends or family. Each private bedroom suite features its own full ceramic-tiled bath, television, and window views from the extended sitting/reading room. The master bedroom has private access to the deck, walk-in closet, gas fireplace with sitting couch, and whirlpool tub and shower.
The focal point for the high cathedral great room is the patterned slate fireplace, surrounded by two sets of patio doors leading to the deck overlooking the yard and bay. On the left is the open dining area and kitchen … the perfect spot for your gatherings with large island, seating, and extra sink for food preparation . This leads out to the large screened-in porch on the main deck for entertaining, grilling and enjoying the summer’s breeze.
Dock your boat in the quiet, protected bay just beyond the natural wooded shoreline during your entire stay. Explore our area — enjoy fine dining, attractions, and events. Bring your bikes (or rent nearby), hiking shoes, snowmobiles and ATVs — as there are miles of connected trails nearby. Other area attractions include state and county parks, canoeing, horseback riding, hiking, cross-country skiing and more. You can dock ONE boat overnight at your designated slip on the community pier.

Vacation Rental Policies
Payment may be made in the form of personal check, money order, certified, cashier's check or PayPal credit card processing. If using credit card, there will be an additional convenience fee per transaction. Final balance, tax and security deposit is due 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL and may be paid in the form of personal check, money order, or PayPal credit card invoice, which will be emailed to you.
Our standard rental period begins on Fridays, check-in anytime after 4pm ... and ends the following Friday at 10am, While we accept shorter stays, that stay must typically fall within the Fri-Fri timeframe (not branching between 2 weeks).
During the prime summer season, we have a minimum 4-night stay. During the value-season, we have a minimum 3-night stay. BOOK FOR 5 NIGHTS, RECEIVE THE 6TH AND 7TH NIGHTS FREE! Some owners may accept a shorter stay than minimum (short-stay cleaning fee will apply)
5.5% state and local tax (NO room tax)
Reservations cannot be held without a 50% deposit; refundable if cancelled with at least 60 days notice prior to arrival date (minus a 10% administration fee of the base rental amount). A refund with less than 60 days notice, possible only if home can be rented during that time.
Security Deposit... In addition to your rental charge, a security deposit is held on behalf of the homeowner & returned within 14 days of departure if no charges are accrued. The security deposit is equal to the prime season nightly rate listed above or a minimum of $400 (whichever is greater).
This amount is refunded within 14 days of departure, barring any damages or failures to comply with our rental policies. If damage to the premises occurs in excess of the security deposit, the primary renter agrees to be held liable and charges will be made to the credit card listed on the Guest Data Sheet.
This home is pet-friendly. There is an additional non-refundable pet fee of $50 per pet, per stay ... and a refundable pet security deposit of $100 per pet, per stay (in addition to the standard security deposit). It is the responsibility of the pet owner to clean the premises after their pets. Failure to do so will result in loss of the pet security deposit. If owner will accept a stay shorter than our required seasonal stay, an additional short-stay cleaning fee of $200 will be charged.
In order to BOOK your reservation, you must call the Cottage Keeper to receive your unique reservation number. A reservation deposit of 50% of the total base rent is due within 10 days of booking.
Persons under 21 years of age must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian.
Bookings require a 2-week advance reservation.
