Transportation Options In and Around Town
You most likely will fly into a major airport such as Vancouver International, Seattle, or Bellingham, Washington. Make your way to this world-renowned ski area from the airport by rent car, bus services like Greyhound and Snowbus, or pre-booked Whistler shuttles. If coming from Vancouver, take the Whistler Mountaineer train or hire a taxi from Whistler Resort Cabs. If you choose a rental car, get to Whistler by taking the Sea to Sky Highway. In town, you may get around by bicycle, on foot, taxi or use the public transit system, WAVE.
Four Seasons Resort. Skiing Option 1
One of the most luxurious resorts in town, the Four Seasons is likely to be the most fun for children. Large family suites are available and hotel restaurants offer a kids menu. This resort provides thoughtful options such as child-sized bathrobes, crafts, game nights, and babysitters for an extra cost. While the year round pool is a family favorite, Whistler offers seasonal children’s programs to include rock climbing, bear watching, ski lessons, and snow tubing.
Pan Pacific Whistler Village Center. Skiing Option 2
In a quiet setting, yet near local amenities, Pan Pacific Whistler Village Center offers large suites with kitchen and dining areas geared for large families. Making life easier for parents, the full breakfast buffet is offered each morning; and includes hot chocolate and cookies throughout the day. The hot tub and heated pool are well loved by everyone, children and adults alike.
Legends Whistler. Skiing Option 3
Likely the best in family convenience, Legends offers comfort and entertainment for all. Throughout the resort, families will find play areas, a game room and media room with a big screen TV. Whistler itself puts on ample kids programs, Legends is in the perfect location to get them involved. Guests can enjoy cozy hot tubs as well as the large suites that include kitchens and laundry facilities.
The Best Accommodations Yet.
A great idea for families to enjoy this area is a vacation rental. Vacation homes offer extra space, kitchens, and laundry facilities. Staying in a vacation rental home will not prevent families from enjoying options for children offered in the local resorts. Families can enjoy cooking at home, and a greater sense of privacy.
