The second spotlights ocean vistas on two sides as well as entre to the covered beach-facing porch. The wainscoted dining area offers elegance and-through its French doors-another porch access. Enjoy eating either place or at the nearby breakfast bar. The well-stocked chef’s kitchen is equipped with stainless appliances, granite counters, a farm sink and is close to the ample laundry room. This level also houses two bedrooms. The first is a generous, bayed King Master with a large walk-in, beautifully appointed Master Bath and amazing views inside as well as through its porch entry. The second bedroom, also proffering water views, is furnished with a Queen and a Twin and utilizes the full bath (with a very spacious tiled shower and granite vanity) just outside its door.

Upstairs, the natural light-filled landing holds a table and chairs-perfect for game-playing or doing a puzzle. Off this central space are three bedrooms. Paddle boards, surfing boards, bicycles, bicycle accessories for children, beach chairs and umbrellas, and kayaks can be rented on the island at local businesses.

The Bald Head Island Club has a fitness center, pool/water park, tennis, golf, croquet and dining. Temporary memberships are available for separate purchase if your rental home has a Bald Head Island Club membership attached.

The Shoals Club has a fitness room, pool, dining, private beach access with chairs and umbrellas available. Temporary memberships are available for separate purchase if your rental home has a Shoals Club membership attached.

The Bald Head Island Conservancy has summer camps, turtle nesting programs, guided kayak tours, island nature tours, birding tours, fishing school, and environmental/nature activities for adults and children.

The Old Baldy Foundation provides Island historic tours; climb Old Baldy Lighthouse, visit the museum.
