Executive home on exclusive Scarborough Beach. The beach is a one-minute walk from the home down a path lined with bushes that flower in the summer. The beach is unique among southern Maine's sandy beaches; it is over a mile long and is free of development. Save one house in over a mile, there are no homes situated directly on the beach dunes. The beach and area are outstanding for swimming, walking, surfing, and boating. There are spectacular views of Stratton Island, Shooting Rocks, and Black Point. There are excellent golf courses within 15 minutes of the house, public tennis courts and wildlife and bird sanctuaries. Public boat ramps are nearby.

Amenities include high speed internet and cable TV. The executive home is fully furnished with dishes, linens, and BBQ. The home sits adjacent to a beautiful wooded area deer and pheasant frequent.

The home is 20 minutes from Portland Jetport and Portland, and less than 2 hours from Boston. Activities in the area include the Old Port Area of Portland, which is known for its crafts, art and antique shops and good restaurants. Excellent public golf courses and tennis courts are nearby. For Winslow Homer afficionados, Homer's studio is a 15 minute bike ride away at Black Point. The Portland Museum of Art has an excellent Homer exhibit as well as other well known Maine artists. The twin light houses at Two Lights State Park, sought by artists and visitors, and a national bird sanctuary are biking distance.

Shoulder Season: May 26 2009 - Jun 20 2009 $ 2,500 per week, based on 2-week minimum.

Peak Season: Jun 21 2009 - Sep 12 2009 $3,350 per week, based on 2-week minimum.

2009-2010 Seasonal Rental

September 13 2009 - May 15, 2010: $2200 per month plus util., if rented for the whole period. Shorter periods may be available but different rates apply.

There are 4 golf courses within 15 minutes of the house. Three are 18 hole courses with spectacular views and excellent course design. In addition, there are bird and wildlife sanctuaries within 5 minutes of the house. There is ample opportunity for kayaking, sailing and boating from the beach or from estuarine ramps on the exceptionally beautiful Scarborough Marsh.

The nearby Old Port Area of Portland is known for its crafts, art and antique shops and has excellent restaurants.
