We truly have one of the most charming and comfortable homes on Smith Mountain Lake as reported by all our clients who have rented homes elsewhere. We are also in one of the most sought after quiet areas of the lake that have one of the few "no-wake coves". This means safe and peaceful swimming. The cove is over 60 acres of quite, pristine beauty, with no building at all to its southern mountain shoreline.
The lodge is one of eleven homes nestled in a very secluded cove, with four large bedrooms, three baths, with three bedrooms all on one level. The fourth bedroom is on the lower level and loved by most because of its seclusion as it can’t be accessed from the main level. This gorgeous lodge features a great room with cathedral ceilings and an incredibly beautiful, floor to ceiling stone fireplace. The new wall of glass sunroom with its breathtaking views of the lake and mountains is simply stunning. We also have three new beautifully tiled bathrooms, one with a heated Jacuzzi bathtub. The Master bath has a huge oversized shower with three shower heads. The fourth bedroom, located under the sun room, has an oversized shower as well. The new kitchen has granite counter tops and Tuscany styled maple cabinets which are simply charming. Our inviting large deck surrounded by hand built sun burst railings offers spectacular views of the lake and the mountains. Additionally we offer two boat slips with a private dock.
Other amenities include: central heat and air-conditioning, satellite television, VCR with over 30 tapes, surround sound stereo system with outside speakers, dishwasher, trash compactors, washing machine/dryer, ice maker, microwave oven and a charcoal barbeque grill. The entire lodge is furnished with the charming and indestructible, "Through the Barn Door" furniture, oriental carpets, relaxing stuffed lounge chairs, and new couches in front of a state of the art entertainment center.
We are only ten minutes from the gorgeous golf course designed by world renowned Robert Trent Jones. The course offers spectacular views of the lake and the beautiful surrounding mountains. We are offering all our guests 50% off green fees.
The Cedar Key community property is heavily treed and is located on a charming secluded cove, which is a no wake area. This makes swimming very safe and a sense of peacefulness prevails that you will not find in other areas of the lake due to the constant noise of the motor boats. Our cove is a true treasure. People love our lodge and the community itself. It is a great place for families that want to get away from the crowds and be close to nature. Try having a picnic on one of the many islands on the Lake or dust off the water skis! There are plenty of fun restaurants from which to choose as well as miniature golf, exciting shops, fascinating antique shops, and a lovely State Park; all within five to twenty minutes from our home.

Additional Rate Information
Our Lodge rents for $2800.00 per week May 30 - Sept. 5
$1800 per week Sept. 6 - May 29
The nightly rate is $350.00 with a two-night minimum
*We only rent our lodge for nightly rentals in the Winter, Spring and Fall.
Cedar Key deposit and cancellation policy: We need to receive a 50% deposit within 7 days from the date of your reservation. The remaining amount is due 120 days prior to reservation date. You will be reimbursed for your deposit if you cancel 60 days prior to your scheduled arrival time. If you need to cancel for any reason after this time, we will try to rent our home for you. In the event we are unable to rent our home, your payment cannot obviously be reimbursed. Your rental payment is a statement of your acceptance of our rental policy.
