Property Information
Couples or families are welcome at this beautifully
renovated, immaculate cottage at the mouth of the New Meadows
River, an hour north of Portland and just steps away
from the high tide mark. Wake up to southwesterly
views of Casco Bay, breathe in the salt air, and watch
the comings and goings of local lobstermen as you
adjust to a slower pace. In fact, any one of them would
be happy to provide you with dinner fresh from the
boat. Kayaks and other hand-carried boats can be
launched from a small pebble beach where Adirondack
chairs and a cedar picnic table overlook the water. The
beach, with its tide pools, sea glass, and other
treasures, is a magnet for children of all ages, and one that
will provide hours of entertainment.
A kitchen, dining/living room, sun porch, bedroom with
twin beds, and bathroom complete the downstairs of
the cottage. Upstairs are two more bedrooms, each
with a full-size bed. With owner permission, futons in
the living room and sun porch may be used for
additional guests.

The kitchen is stocked with Pam, a few spices, salt & pepper, sugar, teas, coffee & filters, sandwich bags, plastic wrap, foil, and lobster pot. The refrigerator is stocked with mustard, relish, ketchup, and mayonnaise.
A state park pass is included with your stay, so entrance at any state park is free.
Property Activities
Just a mile away are an oceanside 18-hole golf course,
waterfront spa, tennis courts, kayak rentals, sailing
trips, deep sea fishing, bistro dining at the Pilot House,
and casual outdoor dining at the Ledge's Pub - all open
to the public and located at Sebasco Harbor Resort. A
brief walk will take you to The Water's Edge Restaurant,
and a short drive will take you to hiking on Morse
Mountain, swimming at Popham Beach State Park,
exploring at Fort Popham, and lunch or dinner at
Spinney's. A state park pass in included with your stay.
This is the perfect cottage if you plan to attend a
wedding on the Phippsburg peninsula. It's close to
Sebasco Harbor Resort as well as other popular
wedding locations such as Small Point or the Popham
Chapel, yet is reasonably priced so that you can afford
to stay for the entire week. If you're traveling all the
way to Maine, why not make a vacation out of it?
Bath, with its many antique stores and the Chocoate
Church Arts Center, is only a fifteen-minute drive. Easy
day trips can be made to charming Camden or
Boothbay Harbor, L. L. Bean and numerous outlets in
Freeport, and the historic Old Port in Portland. Cultural
attractions in the area include the Portland Museum of
Art in downtown Portland, the Maine Maritime Museum
in Bath, and the Farnsworth Museum up the coast in
Rockland. At nearby Bowdoin College, Maine State
Music Theater offers professional summer theater at its
best. The local area has much to offer, and whether you
prefer to stay active or relax in the sun at the beach,
you'll enjoy your stay in these bright, breezy
surroundings.
For extended families and friends, there is a
neighboring cottage, subject to availability. Great for
