My cozy and very artsy little studio is in a fantastic location just off the beach in Waimanalo. It is situated on a quiet, residential street in a country setting. The Seaside Tiki Hut is a studio suite located about 150 yards (a two minute walk) from the beach. The style is indoor/outdoor living, with a 'grass hut' look to get into the island mood! One lanai (porch) is set up as an outdoor living room complete with sofa and sitting areas. Relax under the Hula Skirt umbrella and dine at a table hand painted by well known muralist and North Shore surfboard artist Ron Artiste. This is one of many unique touches that creates the special ambiance of The Hut! The back porch is nestled into a private garden area and features a hammock surrounded by lush, tropical plants.
Cool ocean breezes keep the apartment quite comfortable and the close proximity to the beach fills the space with the sound of the ocean surf. The apartment offers a well equipped kitchen; complete with gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. There is a queen size bed with an optional floor futon and ceiling fan, plus the two covered lanais. The many ameneties include a telephone, internet access, cable TV and VCR, a CD player, boogie boards and snorkels and masks, and a washer/dryer. The studio has its own private entrance. Waimanalo Beach is unique in its pristine beauty. There are five miles of white sand and turquoise sea with picturesque islands floating off the coastline. Giant sea turtles swim in our waters, whales travel through on their winter migration, and thousands of birds sing their tropical melodies, filling the neighborhood with the most beautiful music.
In 2001 National Geographic named it one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! This community is nestled at the foot of some of the most spectacular mountain ranges of the islands, and during the winter rains they are teeming with cascading waterfalls that will take your breath away. Waimanalo is a truly special place and is ideal for those travelers who want to get off the beaten track and who love the beach. It's a great place for surfers and boogie boarders, beach bums and nature lovers. It's a place where you can still feel the spirit of 'Old Hawaii.'
