Upon entering Twin Rocks you are greeted by the kitchen with cathedral ceilings, modern appliances and a sit down bar area to sit and watch kitchen activities. The living room is tastefully decorated and has front row seats to the perfect waterfront and lake views as well as a small dining area and gas fireplace stove.
Sleeping areas include a queen bedroom as well as a bedroom with 2 twin beds that can be pushed together to make a full king. There is a unique loft area where you can read a book or take a nap on the twin sized day bed. Lastly, the cottage has a full bath with a steam shower to take a relaxing steam.
The cottage is set pretty close to the lake so children are easy to keep an eye on from the patio area while relaxing in the sun. The lake frontage is gently sloping and pebbly with an easy walk in or you can go off the small dock to deeper waters.
Amenities include cable TV with a DVD player, a fax machine, laundry washer and dryer, a picnic table and a gas grill.

| Winnecook Lake, or as it is called by the locals, Unity Pond, is a 2,528-acre lake set in the midst of rolling farm country. Unity Pond is the largest lake in the County, and though popular with local anglers, it is never crowded. The fish that are found in the lake are brown trout, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, white perch, pickerel, cusk and crappie. Fishing isn’t the only thing to do here though. The Unity Raceway has great race events on weekends or weekdays if you’re interested in seeing a little local color. Less than a half a mile from the cottage is the Lakeside Golf Course, a great nine hole course that is open to the public. In Unity Village you will find the Unity House of Pizza, a chinese restaurant and various quaint cafes and gift shops. Although Unity Village has plenty going on, the nearest metropolitan area to Twin Rocks cottage is Waterville. There you will find major restaurants, national chain stores and highway access to other beautiful parts of Maine for a day trip. |
