AMAZING TIME AT AN AMAZING HOME
By Lorena On 01/22/2020
Beautiful house! It had everything we needed and more. Tons of space for everyone to sleep in and plenty of bathrooms too. A lot of games and activities to engage in. We had an amazing time! Check in and check out were a breeze. The drive to the house was a very easy one too. On the other hand, the walk to the lake is not as easy as it looks but they have a cart for it in case you are not able to go for it on foot. Loved this place and love the customer service Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals provides.

Guest Review

The Wilderness Lodge provided everything we needed to have a memorable family holiday and Cindy was wonderful responding to all of my questions quickly and giving great recommendations fr area attractions. With 8 adults and 10 children under the age of 10 the spaciousness of the lodge provided the opportunity for everyone to be active in which they loved to do and having bathrooms for every bedroom was a plus. The kitchen was well equipped for making Thanksgiving dinner and being able to seat everyone at one table was a dream come true for me. Thank you for making Thanksgiving 2018 one that we will always remember.

We have stayed at Wilderness Lodge 3 times now. We love it. This is a 3 family vacation between semesters for the kids. We have plenty of room to spread out. Very well designed house. The entire crowd can sit at the table and enjoy a meal at the same time. The kitchen is well stocked and the home is very clean and well kept. We have all the luxuries of home.

WE WILL BE BACK
By Melanie On 05/24/2018
Our family has been working with BRMR for almost twenty years. Excellent Customer Service and Awesome Accomodations! Our family stayed at the beautiful Wilderness Lodge for ASU graduation and Mother's Dad and loved every minute! Kayaks, Canoes, wildlife, fishing, floats, golf cart, Capture the Flag, hot tub, board games galore, pingpong, hot tub, morning coffee on the deck with lake view, sunsets with guitars & S'mores at the fire pit, etc. The fun goes on and on! We will definitely be back!!! Over the years, we have tried to treasure every single vacation together with family & friends - as if it were our last! Thank you for another fun & unforgettable mountain memory ! God Bless you!

AMAZING FAMILY TIME
By Melanie On 05/15/2018
This is our first time ever at the Wilderness Lodge....and just WOW! From a well-stocked kitchen to cozy bedrooms to entertainment, lake views, firepit, the dock, the lake, pool & ping pong, mountain views, golf cart & jacuzzi. We all leave here refreshed. Our family time was fun and oh so rich! When "real" life starts again we can draw on these memories and savor our joyous family time together! A huge thank you too for the flower arrangement & Mothers Day messages. Many blessings! Proverbs 11:25b: "Whoever refreshes others will be refreshed." - The Bell and Walter Families

11 YEARS RETURNING GUESTS
By Joe & Jane On 05/11/2018
Our group has stayed at Wilderness Lodge in April for 11 years during Merlefest and we have already reserved it for next year. Our actions in returning year after year should speak louder than words. We are a group of old friends, now 11 in number, who live in different states. Wilderness Lodge has been a great place for us to get together. We tend to gather around the large dining table, whether we are eating or not. The dining area on the main level adjoins the open living area on one side and the kitchen on the other. This layout makes it easy for a lot of different conversations to be going on. This main living area easily accommodates all of us. We enjoy being out on the spacious decks, sometimes eating there. The lodge is secluded and quiet, but only a 15 minute drive to grocery stores and shopping. There is a lot to do within easy drives. You can drive to Boone or Blowing Rock in 50 minutes or less and the Blue Ridge Parkway is even closer. Cindy, the owner, is very responsive if any problem should arise. Wilderness Lodge is a unique place. We have thoroughly enjoyed the time we have spent there. We recommend it.

SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL WITH GREAT VIEWS
By Jennine On 01/18/2018
We brought in the New Year at the Wilderness Lodge minutes outside of Wilkesboro N.C. The house was simply beautiful with great views of the W, Scott Kerr Reservoir. We all were hoping for snow but mother nature didn't have that in her plans for us this year, so instead we went looking for snow. We didn't have to go very far because this cabin is fairly close to several ski resorts that provided whatever snow play you are interested in. When we were back at the cabin we spent a lot of family time together playing games like ping-pong, pool, cards we even built gingerbread houses. The house is perfect if you want some alone time too. Each room is very spacious and most had their own bathrooms, television, reading material. There was also a hot tub on the deck which was a relaxing bonus. Although it was freezing outside most of us braved the cold and sat in the steamy water. The homeowner was awesome we could contact her at anytime and she would come down to the house if we needed anything, This vacation was wonderful and Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals made our trip a wonderful family memory.

BEAUTIFUL, CLEAN, FULLY EQUIPPED
By Kent & Sally W. On 07/31/2016
Our family of 17 (8 adults and 9 children) had plenty of room in this beautiful, clean, well equipped house! Cindy, the owner, was extremely helpful and guided us to a good restaurant, where to grocery shop, etc. Theres a terrific doughnut shop 10 minutes away. Wilkesboro has a lovely coffee shop, old movie theatre, and restaurants. We even were given YMCA passes that we never used because we all were so busy boating and swimming from the dock, an easy row over to a sandy beach. Enjoyed smores around the fire pit one evening, hike in Stone Mountain, kids catching and releasing fish at the dock (one giant cat fish that broke the line!), ping pong tournaments, foos ball and games at the pool table. The golf cart is handy to get 3/4th of the way to the dock. A good climb up and back the rest of the way. We all got stronger every day! Our favorite room was the great room and kitchen which had room enough for us all to sit at one table to celebrate 14th and; 40th birthdays. A perfect week filled with happy memories!

PERFECT PLACE FOR A LARGE FAMLY
By Michael W. On 07/10/2016
We spent over a week at Wilderness Lodge recently to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. It was the perfect place for a large family (our four children, their spouses, and nine out of ten grandchildren). We all fit somehow without difficulty. The kitchen was terrific with an excellent large, newish refrigerator, two ovens, and lots of cookware. Its a great house for a large group with plenty of space, big bedrooms, decks on both levels, grill, hot tub, pool table, etc. We loved the game room and had ping pong tournaments for our serious table tennis-playing family (recommend bringing your own paddles if you are serious players). The lodge is located right at the W. Kerr Scott Dam, a beautiful body of water. We rented a pontoon boat for the week, and we all had a fun time tubing. Side trips hiking in the Blue Ridge, visiting the quaint town of Blowing Rock, or just jogging on running trails right across the street were part of our activities. And the owner was most helpful to the family in making recommendations for an excellent caterer and other assistance for our 50th celebration. Getting down to the lake and back up is not for the feint of heart (it is very steep), but my wife and I chalked it up to good exercise. All in all, a great experience.

VERY WELCOMING
