Property Description

Sky Rock Lodge is an A-Frame log cabin with round logs. It offers breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Up to ten people can enjoy this cabin with its three bedrooms, two and a quarter bathrooms, a seven-person hottub under a covered gazebo and an outdoor firepit. This custom-built log cabin is located in Banner Elk and is close to attractions and activities, but feels secluded and hidden in the mountains.


In just ten minutes, guests can reach downtown Banner Elk, where they will find shopping, convenience stores, grocery stores and winery tours. Sugar Mountain Ski Resort as well as Beech Mountain Ski Resort can be reached in just over 20 minutes. When the weather is right, guests can access a private neighborhood backroad that will take them to Beech Mountain within seven minutes. Twenty minutes away is the quaint village of Valle Crucis with its original Mast General Store, and the beautiful riverside Community Park. In about forty minutes, you can be in Boone and Blowing Rock.


Enjoy the panoramic views from the impressive wall of glass. Enjoy the fine leather furnishings around the wood-burning fireplace with stacked stones and the flat-screen television. The charming kitchen features quartz countertops, custom-made cabinets and stainless steel appliances. It will be difficult to ignore the expansive mountains and sky when you are dining with family and friends. The covered back porch wraps around the home, allowing you to enjoy the view while cooking on the gas barbecue. The wood-burning fireplace is located just off the porch. A large hot tub is in the gazebo, which is just beyond. A custom-built charcoal grill can also be found in the outdoor space.


The main floor king-size bedroom is comfortable and warm. It has a private ensuite with a step in shower and ceramic tile flooring. The bunk room upstairs has two (2) twin-size bunk beds and a television for the kids to relax. The third bedroom is located upstairs and has a queen-size bed. It also features bright natural light from the windows in the logs. The bathrooms upstairs share a tiled hallway bathroom with a bathtub and shower combination. The sleeper sofa in the living room provides an extra queen-size sleeping space.


Sky Rock Lodge offers central heat and air-conditioning, a washer/dryer, WiFi, a BluRay/DVD Player, and two (2) flat screen Smart TVs. Guests can log into their streaming account to access various viewing options.


The gravel driveway has been neglected. Prepare yourself for steep gravel roads that lead to the cabin, and a steep driveway. Winter driving requires 4WD or AWD, and chains. The gravel driveway slopes down to a large flat gravel parking area that can accommodate four (4) cars. This cabin does not allow pets.
