Welcome to Mountain Family Lodge!

 

Mountain Family Lodge, a unique property, is located off the Blue Ridge Parkway near Boone and Blowing Rock and near Appalachian Ski Mountain and Tweetsie Railroad. Mountain Family Lodge offers seven (7) suites, which can accommodate up 28 guests. Three of the suites have alcove rooms that feature twin-sized beds. The first floor features a living room with a queen-sized sofa bed and a second queen-sized sofa bed. This home is ideal for large groups. This home has nine (9) bathrooms, two (2) updated kitchens and ample dining options.  

We allow large events to take place here. We do not facilitate or coordinate these events. Owners can approve them on a case by case basis. A coordinator will work closely to plan all the details. The event impact fee is $1500 for events like weddings or events with large groups. Please indicate "Event Impact Fee" when booking online or call us to tell us your plans. The owner will then approve the booking, and we will apply an event fee.  

*This property is available for rent with the Appalachian Mountain Lodge which has nine (9) rooms and two (2) cottages. It can accommodate up seventy (70).  

Mountain Family Lodge features two living rooms, media room, and pool table that can be used to host many events. The outdoor area includes a wraparound deck, an outside hot tub, a covered court, an outdoor firepit and a beautifully-landscaped yard. Two gas and charcoal barbecues are also available. Parking is available for up to 8 vehicles. There are many walking and hiking paths in the surrounding woods and mountains. In 2018, a HVAC system upgraded the second floor to central heating. Each bedroom on the 1st floor has a mini split heating and cooling unit. Radiant heat is included throughout the house to keep winter nights comfortable.  

The interior is modern and mountain-inspired. The furniture is updated and there are beds of all sizes. The house has hardwood floors, granite countertops, and modern appliances. Flat-panel HDTVs are available with Charter Cable programming, and WiFi internet. Guests have access to a washer/dryer. The media room is equipped with a cable TV projector, screen and blue-ray player. The sunroom, located on the 2nd floor, has a large flat screen television and plenty comfortable seating. The main dining room can comfortably seat up to 20 guests. Each kitchen has its own dining room which can accommodate up 14 guests. The central area of the home can be transformed into a dining room by converting the 8-foot slate tables. The house has high ceilings, a cupola and allows natural light to enter.

The owner is excited to announce that there are now nine (9) bathrooms in the house, eight (8) of which have been renovated. There are also ten (10) sleeping rooms and new interior and external paint. The queen-sized sleeper couch has a new mattress and every bedroom has A/C.  

These seven (7) suites feature twelve (12) bedrooms with eight (8) bathrooms.  

The First Floor Bedrooms and Bathrooms include 4 Suites, each with 6 Bedrooms and 5 Full Bathrooms.  

Home On The Range Suite (accommodates 3): 2 bedrooms, with 1 twin bed and 1 queen bed. A full bath is also included.  

Terra Suite (accommodates three), 2 bedrooms with 1 twin bed and 1 king-size bed. A full bathroom is also included.  

Butterfly Garden Suite (accommodates up to 2 people, 1 king bed with ensuite bathroom, covered patio access  

Hummingbird Garden suite (accommodates up to 2 people in 1 king bed with ensuite bathroom and covered patio access  

The second-floor bedrooms and bathrooms consist of 3 suites, each with 6 bedrooms.  

Orient Express Suite (accommodates four people) - Master Bedroom with king bed and queen futon. Ensuite bath, deck access.

The house can accommodate up twenty-eight (28) people, including sleeper sofas. There are eight (8) bathroom, accessible from both floors. Each suite has either a bathroom with a shower or a bathroom nearby. This lodge was designed to accommodate large groups as comfortably as possible.  

Each level includes a fully equipped kitchen, including an oven, stovetop with microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher.  

The lower level features a living room with comfortable seating and an HDTV. The media room has comfortable seating, a pullout couch for the kids, and a HD projector screen which can play DVDs. You can plug your Xbox into the media room using your HDMI cable. Please return the cable inputs in their original positions to ensure that the next guest will have the same experience. The upper level of the sunroom is framed by a sofa and chairs. There is a large TV and BluRay/DVD player.  

The dramatic cupola with its high ceilings, large windows, and natural light is located on the upper level. The slate pool table measures 8 feet long. The pool table is convertible into a dining table for 14 people with a custom-made wooden top. The second dining area can accommodate six (6) or seven (8) guests. In each of the 2 kitchens there is a separate dining area which can seat 6 or 8 people. Each of the four (4) dining tables can accommodate up to 34 people.  

Outside, you will find a covered stone courtyard and deck. We are also building a patio for outdoor cooking and dining.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If you cancel within 24 hours, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel your reservation 60 days before arrival, you'll receive a refund of half the amount you paid. Cancellations within 60 days of arrival are not eligible for refunds. If you have travel coverage and the reason of cancellation is covered, you can get the full amount back.
