Welcome to Mountain Family Lodge!

 

Mountain Family Lodge is an exclusive property located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, near Boone and Blowing Rock, and close to Appalachian Ski Mountain and Tweetsie Railroad. Mountain Family Lodge has seven (7) suites that can accommodate up to 28 guests. Three of the suites include alcove rooms with twin-sized beds. The first floor has a living area with a queen sofabed and a queen sofa bed. This home is suitable for large groups. It has nine (9) bathrooms and two (2) updated kitchens that offer ample dining options.
 

*We allow large events here. However, we don't facilitate or coordinate such events. They are permitted by the owner on a case-by–case basis. An event coordinator will work closely with you to plan the details. Event impact fees of $1500 will apply to events such as weddings or events that will host large groups of people. If you book online, please indicate the "Event Impact fee" or tell us about your plans if calling. The owner will approve the booking and we will apply the event fee to complete it.
 

*This property can be rented with the Appalachian Mountain Lodge, which has nine (9) bedrooms and two (2) cottages. It can accommodate up to seventy (70) guests.
 

Mountain Family Lodge has two living rooms, a media area, and a pool table area that can be used for many gatherings. The outside area includes a wrap-around deck, an outdoor hot tub, a covered courtyard, an outdoor fire pit and a beautifully landscaped yard. There are also two gas and charcoal grills. There is ample parking for up to eight (8) vehicles. The surrounding woods and mountain roads provide plenty of walking and hiking trails. The second floor was upgraded to central heating in 2018 by an HVAC system. Each bedroom on the first floor has a mini-split heating and cooling unit. Radiant heat is also included in the entire house to keep winter nights warm.
 

The interior has a modern, mountain-inspired design. The furniture has been updated and there are comfortable beds for all sizes. Hardwood floors are featured throughout the house, as well as updated kitchens with granite countertops and modern appliances. There are flat-panel HDTVs with Charter Cable programming and WiFi internet. One washer/dryer is available for guests. The media room has a projector and screen for cable TV, as well as a blue-ray player. The sunroom is located on the second floor and has a large flat-screen television and plenty of comfortable seating. The main dining area can comfortably seat 20 guests. Each kitchen has a separate dining room that can accommodate up to 14 guests. The 8-foot slate pool tables can be converted to a dining table in the central area of the house. There are high ceilings and a cupola that allow natural sunlight to enter the house.

The owner is thrilled to announce that the home now features nine (9) bathrooms, eight (8) of them have been renovated, ten (10) sleeping areas and new interior and exterior paint. Every bedroom now has A/C and the queen-sized sleeper sofa has a brand new mattress.
 

These seven (7) suites have twelve (12) bedrooms and eight (8) bathrooms.

The house can accommodate up to twenty-eight (28) guests, including the sleeper couches. There are eight (8) bathrooms, with bathrooms on both floors accessible directly from the hallways. Each suite comes with either a full bathroom or a nearby bathroom. This lodge was built to accommodate large groups of people as comfortably as possible.
 

Each level has a full kitchen with an oven, stovetop, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher.
 

The lower level has a living area with plenty of comfortable seating, an HDTV and BluRay player. The media room offers comfortable seating, a pullout sofa for the children, and an HD projector screen that can play DVDs. You can plug in your Xbox with your own HDMI cable. To ensure that your next guest has the same experience, please return the cable inputs to the original locations. The sunroom's perimeter walls are framed by a set of chairs and sofas on the upper level. There is also a large TV with a BluRay/DVD Player.
 

The dramatic cupola, with its high ceilings and large windows that let in natural light, is located at the upper level. The slate pool table is 8 feet in length. The pool table can be transformed into a 14-person dining table with a custom wooden top. It is adjacent to a second dining area that can seat six (6) to seven (8) additional guests. In each of the two (2) kitchens, there is a dining area that can seat six (6) or eight (8) people. You can seat up to 34 guests at each of the four (4) tables.
 

You will find the deck and covered stone courtyard outside. We are also building an outdoor dining and cooking patio.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Cancellations made within 24 hours of booking are eligible for a full refund. If you cancel 60 days prior to arrival, you will be refunded half of the amount paid. Cancellations made within 60 days of the arrival date are not eligible for a refund. If you have travel insurance, and the reason for cancellation is covered by the policy, you can recover the entire amount.
