Property Information
This house was completely redone in spring 2009, and the furnishings, carpetting, kitchen cabinets, countertops and appliances are all brand new and completely top rate! Even though it is located in a lovely residential neighborhood, the house was built so there is complete privacy on the deck---you can have your morning coffee or romantic drinks and dinner without feeling spied on! No one can see you when you're on the deck (unless they're in a boat on the lake). And the view from the deck is of the lake with a mountain backdrop! Perfect for a special occasion weekend or even midweek stay. There is an upscale and interesting restaurant less than 2 miles away (The Powerhouse--click on the link on this site for their story and menu) if you're not into doing the cooking yourself. (But if you are, we have a top of the line stainless grill in addition to the all new kitchen.) Why stay at a hotel when you can have all these amenities for the same price or less? Conveniently located less than 2 miles from the Route 80 White Haven exit (none of that backroad driving) so you can spend your vacation relaxing instead of motoring around. Book now for the fall or even ski season. We are about 10 miles from Jack Frost/Big Boulder, also near Jim Thorpe, Mohegan Sun Casino, the Outlets and Split Rock's indoor H20 waterpark.
There is also a new dock and pedal boat, and the lake has plenty of large mouth bass and sunnies (You do need a fishing license, which you can get online or in the town's hardware store).
The house is also within 10 miles of Jack Frost and Big Boulder, so if you are planning a ski getaway but want to stay in a quieter, more private location than Lake Harmony, you can be conveniently located and not have to worry about loud partying groups being next door!
