Property Description

The log cabin Enlightened Elk Escape offers a unique mountain personality and is centrally situated near all that the High Country has on offer. The lodge is only a few minutes from Banner Elk. The lodge is located between Sugar Mountain Ski Resorts & Beech Mountain Ski Resorts. Grandfather Mountain can be found within ten miles. The property is near Boone, Blowing rock and Hawksnest Snowtubing & zip-lining, Linville Caverns & Falls, and Valle Crucis. The great room on the main floor features a high exposed tongue and groove ceiling, large windows with views of the mountain scenery. Leather furniture surrounds the TV and stacked-stone gas fireplace. The dining room features a wood table made to order that can accommodate eight people. Just beyond is the kitchen. The lower level includes a game area with a pool table and piano. It also has a large flat screen TV mounted on a mount. The lower deck has a hot-tub, a wooden porch swing and a propane heater. The backyard is equipped with a picnic table and firepit for evening marshmallow roasts or afternoon picnics. The main floor master bedroom has a comfortable, queen-sized bed. It also has deck access, a TV, an ensuite bathroom with a claw-foot tub, a step-in shower and a separate WC. On the upper floor, there is a bedroom that has a queen-sized bed, a television, and a loft sleeping area which opens into the great room below. The loft has a double bed and two twin beds, each with a twin-trundle. The lower level has a queen bedroom. A full bathroom is also available, with a tiled shower and soaking tub. Other amenities include central heating and air conditioning, washer/dryer, ROKU-equipped TVs, and central heating. The property is pet friendly and allows two dogs to stay. Additional pet fees may apply. Parking is available for up to 3 cars on the paved drive, outside the lower-level parking garage. The front door is reached via the long staircase leading from the parking area up to the main level deck.
