Property Information

Cedarwood Lodge is a mountain cabin, situated on eight forested acres, nestled in the Moshannon State Forest. The Lodge has three bedrooms, one of which is a loft overlooking the kitchen, dining room, and living room. There is ample space for sleeping bags. The dining table seats 12. The Lodge is completely equipped including linens, dishes, pots and pans, a microwave, a gas cook stove and gas grill, a coffee maker, toaster, TV/VCR with family movies (no TV reception), phone, wood burning stove/fireplace, and a full bath with a tub and shower. Guests need only bring clothes and food. Homemade bread, and sweet rolls or muffins are provided for your first morning's breakfast. Coffee and tea are always available. Deer, turkey, foxes, and an occasional bear can be observed making their way past the Lodge. The Lodge is unique in that no other buildings or roads can be seen from the property -- just the gravel lane which dead ends past the cabin.

Located on 8 acres surrounded by the Moshannon State Forest, just 4 miles north of PA I-80, Exit 111 on PA 153. Two miles from S.B. Elliot State Park and Parker Dam State Park. Minutes from the only wild elk herd in Benezette, Elk County, PA. Twelve miles from Clearfield, PA and DuBois, PA; Thirty miles from Punxsutawney, PA, home of Groundhog Day and Punxsutawney Phil on Gobbler's Knob. About 50 miles west of State College and Penn State University. Two hours from Pittsburgh & Erie. Four to five hours from NYC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC.
